Is this a good resort deal?

Hello to all...I was wondering if the rate I just got at the Beach Club for mid June is the best rate I can probably get. I was quoted $221 for a standard view room. I am willing to keep checking if anyone has gotten a better deal in June. On another web site someone said that they got a promo card in the mail that offered $129 at the new AKL. ! Is that a better hotel and deal to go there rather than Beach Club? Thanks for the help!!

I haven't done this personally Marilyn but I've been reading these boards for quite a while now and it is very common to have more than one reservation pending for the same vacation. The Beach Club is a deluxe resort as is AKL but they are very different 'types' of resorts. My personal opinion is that AKL is too far from the rest of the world but to each his own. I think you have a good price but that isn't to say another better one won't come along. Did you use any codes to get that rate or it is what was given by CRO? The rate of $129 for AKL is a postcard code and you have to receive a postcard in order to use that particular deal. Have you tried the codes over at www.mousesavers.com for your time period? You may find one that works in your timeframe.

Keep this reservation but don't stop trying to better the pot, so to speak.

I saw on disney's website a deal that runs for stays between April 21 and like june 22 or something that sounded like the same rate you got for beach club. They were posting $94 a night at the moderates and $129 for some deluxe (it turns out it was at either widerness lodge or akl). You may be able to call central reservations and get this lower rate for akl, I didn't see the pop up on the wensite today, but it also wasn't working correctly (kept getting error messages).
