hi yall
I got a rate for 14 days for a full size for a total including taxes for $301. could I do better? it is for june 2-16
thanks for your replies;) :p ;) . ps. I am not an ea member

I think thats a good rate if the taxes are included in it. thats only $150 a week for a full size. Not a bad deal. you can always keep checking the rates and make a new one if they go down and cancel this one.

That is not a bad rate, but just today I booked a weekly Emerald Aisle rate for $120 starting 6/20 (taxes and fees included). That rate used the Disney Club coupon and contract numbers. I would suggest you join the Emerald Club so you can use the Emerald Aisle. It is free for Disney Club members or through biztravel. Also, when I went to their web site today (nationalcar.com) I think I saw a message that indicated they were doing a free instant registration through the web site so you might want to check that out.

If that's including the return fee's its pretty good. The return fees are usually almost 90.00 for 2 weeks. MKY

Hi DJanssen,

I've been on National everyday trying different variations of my coupons from EC and DC for July and Dec. vacations which way did you put your codes in. I already have the codes but maybe you could give me a hint on which you put in contract and coupon. Thanks for any help.

I go in to the reservation area as an Emerald Club member. Then after putting in the basic rental information you put the Disney coupon (the one that starts with "1") in the coupon code box and the Disney Club contract # (the one that starts with "5") in the contract code box. You need to replace the Emerald Club contract number that is already in that contract code box. This morning that gave me a 20% discount off the base rate for the coupon and then I think another 20% off of the base rate less the coupon discount for the Disney Club contract for a June rental. Total discount amount is 36% of the base rate - which was only $136.98 to start with for a week.

Hi gm, those are the exact days that we will be renting a car from National. I reserved a full size in Feb using the entertainment coupon and disney club and the total after all taxes is $284 so that is real close to yours. I check the rates frequently and have not found it any lower yet. I am an EA member but the rate is always higher using the EA number.

Cashmon, I think your message might indicate to some that there is no benefit from being an Emerald Club member. I am sure you need to be an Emerald Club member to actually use the Emerald Aisle service. Also, I think that if you log into the reservation system using your Club number or password it still recognizes that even when you change the contract code to the Disney Code number. That would clearly explain the lower rate using the Disney number. PlutoforPresident could answer that better than I can. Either way, the main point is you still need the Emerald Club membership to use the Emerald Aisle service.

We have a full size reserved for 2 weeks in June for $270 which includes all taxes and return fees. I just was able to lower the rental by $5 by checking again last night. Our base rate is $130 per week and we are using the Entertainment code and Disney Club contract code.
