Is this a good rate for HRH ??

I just called Universal directly and was quoted (for the week of 10/7 - 10/14/06) $359 for club room, $279 for pool view - and then all our tickets (there are 4 of us - 2 adults/2 children) are included in that price - and that's 7 days of visits to the park.

Does that sound like a good rate package? Does anyone know if there is any cheaper alternatives ? Also - since we've stayed in the club level before - I think that really is a good deal (although overall it will be about $600 more total) - but having b-fast, snacks, appetizers - I think that's a great deal.

Please give me your input !! :)

Just judging by the universal website, that looks like a good deal. For those dates, the best deal is an annual pass holder rate, something like $323 per night for a club room, but then you'd have to buy an annual pass and 3 additional tix for the rest of the family. Check out the website yourself just to be sure - enter aph in the promotional box for all aph deals, then go back and enter aaa to see what the deals are there.

I got the same rate two months ago when I booked. We are there Oct 11 - 15th. I call reservations the other night and got into a nice chat with cs rep, and she said the hotel is almost fully booked for that period and there was no chance of any price dips. Overall with the free passes (we have to buy one for our DS who is 12), I thought it was pretty good.

Well I'll go ahead and book the room then - I just want to make sure there's not some great price I'm missing somewhere ... like "Club Level Room $199" - you know? I know there's expeida or whatever other sites - and I want to make sure that no matter what - I'm going to have to pay somewhere between $300 and $350 for this room no matter what!

Also - do you think it pays off to do the club level? Or am I wasting $600 for the entire week ???

i think that it all depends on your family. For my family it is completely worth it for the beverages that are available all day. You do get a discount on a cabana - if you want one. And the continental breakfast and snacks are typically enough to keep us until lunch. We typically have a big lunch out at the park or the hotels and then come back for Happy Hour. We snack some more and maybe pay for dinner a few times during the week.

You also get free use of the fitness center and can check your e-mail in the club room. Plus they have movies that you can check out too.

We also have 8 adults so it is expensive for us to eat at McDonalds! - so the offerings that we get a club help us out a lot.

Not sure if this helps - but that is the rate we paid last year over the summer for HRH club.

Ok - here is the deal -- that $359 quote for the club room rate includes the tickets only for the 7 days - NO stay, play free deal -- that would be $389 a night -- so I don't know if I'm doing a good deal or not ! Can anyone tell me? Thanks !

Just cut and pasted this from the website Play 4 FREE at Universal Studios Orlando!

When you stay four (4) or more nights your whole family (up to two adults and two children, ages 3-9) will receive free admission to both Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure for up to seven (7) consecutive days.

This Package Includes:
4 nights hotel accommodations
FREE admission for two (2) adults and two (2) children (ages 3-9) for up to seven (7) consecutive days
Universal CityWalk Party Pass

On a separate note, when I was investigating prices when we were quoted $359 on Loews it was absolutely the lowest. Travleocity, Expedia and Orbitz all had the same price $359, but then they added on their service charge and you had to pay the full thing up front and no refunds.

princess it looks like you have a good deal.

what i do for a package is break it down and then compare to see what the difference is.

i found it cheaper for going solo or with one other person to purchase things separately.

i use the AAA discount for the room and ap for the park discounts on merch and food.

i have stayed club at hrh 9 times. the last 2 years i have found it to be disappointing. the free soda and water through out the day is great but not worth the extra cost to me. i can stop along the way and buy those items and still pay less for club.

what you said it would cost you is a good deal for a party of 4,
go for it.
