Is this a good price, or can I do better?

We just decided to go to WDW for the last week in March (09) and take advantage or the military tickets. I can rent a 3 bdr townhome in Windsor Hills for $1100, and that includes all fees/taxes/pool heat etc, for 7 nights. I absolutely have decided on WH, but I really wanted to keep the total cost to around $700-800. Is that not realistic for the week I chose? I don't want a condo, but a townhome or single family home (3 or 4 bdr) would be fine.

I am also a little nervous the crowds will be crazy as that is our spring break week. Previously, we have gone in early Dec and late Jan. March is scary for me!

This is our first time staying in a private rental and I have learned so much from from everyone here at the forum.

Thanks for any input!

It's not outrageously high but maybe a little. Did you try putting in an inquiry on the www.windsorhillsrent.com site and specify a townhouse or you'll get replies from everyone. You might get a better price, make sure it includes the same things.

On the other hand, it's peak season and you're looking very late. A bird in the hand .....

i paid 1200 for 8 nights (extra night from a typical week reservation) last June that did not include pool heat, so 1100 for 7 nights that includes pool heat sounds reasonable. especially for march. (spring break/easter season - depending on when in march you are going.)

again, you might be able to find something for less, but you are not paying extrdinarly high. that price you mentioned was about average.

I agree! I feel ok with it now after having gotten some more quotes in. I just need to prepare a strategy for the crowds.

We went in late March in 2007 and paid $910 for 8 nights at a 3 br townhome...but I booked a year in advance.

Don't fret about the crowds! I know I was scared when we went with everyone telling me how 'horrible' it was going to be. We made plans using the Unofficial Guide to WDW and had NO troubles at all! Used lots of fast passes and never waited long for any rides.

Have a great trip!!
