Do you think this is a good deal?
Wanting to go to dlp, but money is tight as usual !!

Leave on the 30/12/08
Return coach travel/ ferry
3 days , 2 nights in Hotel near dlp,
1 day ticket ( can buy an extra day )

2 adults
2 Children ( 11 + 5 )

£530 all in

Is that a good price, I know 2 nights is not long, but for a quick get away, and for New years eve, sounds pretty good to me??

What does everyone else think?
Anyone got any other cheap offers? I.e coach trips ( always cheaper )

Thanks

That doesn't seem a bad price but if you price it out separetely it might work out cheaper and give you a bit more freedom.

2 nights at the Hotel L'Elysee which is in Val D'Europe and only 10 mins away by bus/train is £215 on Expedia for the 30th/31st December (plus 7.5% back if you use the money-back website Quidco). One day tickets for the 4 of you would be £34 per adult for 1 day and £29 per child, so £126 so for hotel and tickets that would be £341.

Would it cost you £189 to drive over? Do you have Tesco clubcard vouchers you could use to help pay for the Eurotunnel?

If you don't want hassle your trip doesn't sound expensive but I think you could probably do it for the same price but with a bit more flexibility if you booked each thing separate, maybe even get to stay for one more night!

Thanks for the reply, Im afraid we dont drive, so thats what makes it like a good deal, nice easy coach pick up 5 mins from our house !! I know it will take a while on the coach once we are across the water.
But £500 to see the New year in at Dlp is a tempter !!

Ah, well in that case i'd say book it and have a great time! :thumbsup2

It does sound a no brainer to me !!!

Anyone know anything about these life time fast pass tickets that are on ebay at the moment?
Can you get them anywhere else ie at Dlp?

They are jsut old park tickets. (or the tickets that you get given if yours stops working in the fp machines.)

Means you can hold 2 fp tickets at a time instead of one. They aren't like VIP fastpasses though. You still need to use the machines, and can only get 1 fp from them at a time.

MMmm, depends how busy it'll be when you go, and how many fp's you want to hold at one time.

I'm not one for going on the same ride over and over, so jsut one will do me, but £12 seems prety good.

I've just had a look round our usual coach places and I think thats a brilliant deal.... The cheapest one I found was £1,238!!
