Is this a good idea?

We are going to be in DL during the Nemo opening. I was thinking a good way to avoid the morning opening rush would be to schedule a character breakfast for around 8ish that morning. Then hopefully the mad dash would be over and we could get into the park easier. Also, what is the reservation number for these breakfasts? Thanks.

The reservation number is: 714-781-3463. You can make "priority seatings" up to 60 days in advance.

As for your idea, its hard to say. I see your point, however, if its mobbed first thing with Nemoites, it will be more mobbed later on when everyone else shows up as well. I would still plan on getting to the park as early as you can. It would go to reason that if this ride really barks up the numbers, most of those folks will head to Nemo, leaving the rest of the park sort of in a business as usual mode. Maybe try your plan once by having breakfast at one of the resort hotels and then get to the gates around 30 minutes before opening another day. If you have any days left after that, just repeat which scenario worked best!

I agree with Amy. Earlier is always better. Crowds will only get worse as the day goes on.

Thanks for the phone number. Yeah, I guess it's not going to really matter what time we get there, it will be busy. I was more thinking just for June 11 since that's the official opening day. But maybe we will just brave the mornign rush.

I have never ever ever regretted getting to the park early. I always schedule my character meal later in the day because the early hours at DL are always the best. I don't know if I would head for Nemo first thing though.

I bought a park hopper pass for the 11th, even though my flight to go home is at 4:30 in the afternoon that day. I want to go back into the parks and ride my favorites one last time before I go home. I am just hoping on the opening Nemo day the other ride lines wont be as bad as the nemo ride will be the one drawing in all the crowds. I dont even wanna think about how the following weekend crowds will be after Nemo opens.
