Is this a good deal?

I saw on Yahoo travel this morning what I thought was a pretty good deal on Disney Cruises. I've been thinking that I needed to wait until I could save more money, but this is what I found.

Disney Wonder 4-Days bahamas: $359 interior room, in Sept. 2005. In Sept. 2004, Dec. 2004, Jan. 2005 and Sept. 2005 they have oceanview rooms for $659 and balcony rooms for $759 per person.

I'm thinking that Sept. will probably be bad weather, but I might book the oceanview or balcony view room for Dec. or January. Also does anyone have any idea how much children will be? I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old.

Thanks!

I think that is a really good idea. But I could not find it from yahoo travel. Did you have to use a special code? The best time for me to is January 30.

Thanks,

Jane

I took a peek at the Yahoo travel site and they are advertising those rates as being 44% off list price. The January 9th sailing is showing a rate of $604 for 4 people in a category 6 deluxe with a verandah. The breakdown looks like it would be about $1500 for the first 2 in the room and about $450 for each additional child.

You may want to check Costco's prices, if you're a member (even if you're not, it's $45 to join). I just checked the same dates on Yahoo that I booked last week with Costco.... Costco's prices are lower. ::yes::

I checked a couple of different dates comparing Yahoo to allseastravel rates and Yahoo comes in $200-$300 higher each time. Did you get quotes from anywhere else? I booked through Dreams Unlimited.

I really hadn't compared prices yet. I just happened to come across the price on Yahoo, and it sounded less than other places I'd seen it.

I'm glad to hear Dreams Unlimited is less. We booked our stay at the Swan through them, and were very happy with the service.

We also have costco in our area, so that's another possibility.

From what I've read it seems that Costco consistently has low prices. I'm not a member and so didn't check their rates. :( My only suggestion would be to check everywhere, LOL. No need to pay more than you have to, though most of the quotes I got were very close.

Do you need to be a Costco member to get them to quote a price? I hate getting another membership (and the closest Costco is quite a ways away) just to check the prices. For example, if I am paying $1800 for CAT 9 for 2 adults on a 4 day for Christmas of 2005, about how much do you think Costco would be? Thank you for any light you may shine on my obsession to save money!

In our first cruise we used Costco for a three day. I checked aaa, Disney, travelocity and orbitz. Costco was the cheapest. You can review some of their prices online without using a membership. You can find them at Costco.com. To book you need to speak to their travel agents in Seattle using the toll free number. Good luck and keep checking.

I tried calling the toll free number listed on the website. I think you probably need to be a member to get a quote as the recording said to have your membership number ready. I didn't find out though because the approximate "hold time" given was 10-20 minutes and I didn't want to wait that long.
