I booked 9 nights - 10 days package at CBR - includes stay at cbr, tickets (with PH and WP), and dining. I paid $3255. Is this a good deal? Dates are 8/28 to 9/6.

It is our first time so I have no idea. I am just trying to learn. If this is not the best - hopefully I can do better next tiem :-)))))

Does it include the free dining offer or paid dining (despite how that sounds, one is not necessarily a better deal than the other - it depends on your party makeup and any room discount you might be getting).

For anyone to know for sure, you will have to spell out the individual components of your package and what each is costing, and your party make up. Also room type, as I believe there are differently priced choices at CBR.

My trip is 9 nights 10 days at CBR.

2 adults and 2 kids ages 3 and 6
CBR standard room
8 day MYW base ticket
Free dining 2762.00

I don't have insurance and we already have some WP tickets from some non-expire passes we purchased. We also never use the hopper part of the passes.

Standard Room - 2 Adults 2 kids (7 yrs old) - 10 day MYW tickets with PH and WP + free dining

Your room is $159/$169 (weekday/weekend), so that totals
7 weekday @ 159 =$1113
2 weekend @ 169 = $338

10 day adult ticket as stated above:
$279.03
$57.51 for hopping
$57.51 for waterparks & more
That's $394.05 x 2 = $788.10

Kids version of the same = $369.56 x 2 = $739.12

$90.90 for the mandatory Photobook purchase that is part of the free dining package.

Add that all up and I get $3069.12.

Your extra amount is most likely due to the addition of insurance on your package, which you don't have to purchase unless you want it.

So you seem to be getting charged the right amount for what you have - if I remember right, you had another post saying you had booked through AAA?

That is probably the best deal for you at a moderate, if you have 2 kids under 10, to get the free dining plan. Your free dining is saving you from paying $45.99 per adult per night, plus $11.99 per child per night. In total, that's saving you about $115 per day vs. paying for the dining plan.

If you got a room discount instead (with no free dining), even at 40%, you would only be saving about $75-80 a night.

I did basic math. 3255 divided by 10 days is 325.5 per day. Divide that by 4 people and you get 81.37 per person per day. To me, that is a good deal. Actually, it is a great deal. We spend more than that on a sit down dinner with only three of us.
