I have a hold on the Clarion out in Aneheim for 5 nights, one night free, 3 day park hoppers, RT transfers to and from Airport for the kids and I, one way for DH. ART for the week.

With out trip insurance, it is 1230 dollars. Is this a good deal??

Thanks.

Carrie

Does that include airfare/hotel too? Sonds good to me....What are the dates you are looking at? I was looking for me and my daughter to go in dec and I saw one for about $648 for just the hotel and tickets....

How many kids? Tickets are kind of an unflexible part of the cost. They are currently $139 for kids and $169 for adults for 3 day hoppers. If you have 2 kids and two adults you have over $600 just in ticket costs. Transfers for that many people is probably roughly $75. That means you are paying about $500 for hotel for 5 nights ( or is it 6 because you said one free night?). Sounds like an ok deal. I dont know that I would choose that hotel, just because I like to be a little closer. I wouldnt consider that hotel walking distance, and for us that is a deal breaker.

I agree with hlbtimes2, that hotel is not in walking distance which is so easy to find there at DLR. I would check into rates. You might be able to find a hotel for around $100 a night (check Fairfield AAA rate) and you won't need the ART.

I personally tried a shuttle system when we stayed at CCI...It does not work for my family! We want to be able to come and go as we want, not having to rely on someone else's schedule. I would think with the ART this might be extra inconvenient...as they stop more than one place. I would recommend finding a hotel within walking distance if at all within your budget.

I've done packages as well as booked everything separately (I'm doing this for our next trip and probably will for all other trips.) I don't think packages are incredible deals for the most part.

That does not include airfare.

Okay we are a family of 4. 2 adults, 2 kids ages 7 and 4. I know tickets are right around 600 dollars give or take 50 dollars. I will be flying in with the 2 kids my self. My youngest has autism so I really need to have the ability to get to the hotel simply. I also need a hotel with interior corridors. My son can escape and I need to have a back up if he happens to get out. I plan to have this not happen but you never know. I desperately want this to work for my family.

Any suggestions????? Please???

For comparison...I booked through GAT and for a family of 4 we got:
6 nights at the Anaheim crown plaza... free continental breakfast for adults, free kid breakfast from the menu
5 day park hoppers
Free shuttle service to and from hotel (they leave a half hour before the park opens)
free photo album
lanyards and pins

1200.00 or so

No microwaves... fridge available for rent (8 dollars a day I think)
Airfare NOT included (we are driving)

I did a lot of looking around price wise... and for hotel/tickets for a family of 4 around 1200 (with a decent hotel) was about the lowest I could find. I think you did good;)

What specific dates are you looking at? I too no longer do packages I have found it cheaper on my own.It is a little work but with the help of disboards it makes it all the easier:)

Hojo's has corridors, if you get the ent rate it is 74 per room for a disney view or 59 std room. Could break down like this.

Lowest totals

81 (for disneyland express RT with DH one way booked online)
340 (hojo ent rate 5 nights 2 queens std room)
616(park hopers at current discount 139 Child and 169 Adult)
_____
1037 total
32 (5 day art passes for whole family)
_____
1069

Hojo is walking distance but might be much for the little one's at night so I added transit just for good measure. If you are worried about your youngest I would suggest walking distance.you really don't want to be at the mercy of a shuttle system.

I am now considering HOJO - does anyone know if the pool will be finished by September?

Charlene

We were looking at getawaytoday for:

Embassy Suites South (Just down the street)
Suite
5 nights
5 day hoppers for 2 adults and 1 kid
full breakfast buffet
afternoon snacks

$1283

I know Embassy has indoor corridors and is a very nice hotel.

I would also check out the Hilton Suites on getawaytoday they have indoor corridors and also a full breakfast buffet.

They are planning on having it done by the first of July, so I would definitely count on it being finished by Sept.

Wow it sound like some deals
I got 7 night's at the disneyland hotel for 2407.94. This included passes into disneyland and a breakfast buffet. I would have had more money to spend in disneyland.

I would check with hotels closer. Especially with kids, the HoJo is much closer and has indoor corridors, I would highly recommend them. They are my favorite hotel! :)
