Hi there! *Warning* This is Long PLEASE bear w/me! I've only been to IOA once. I'm relying on you all & your experience to help me with my indecision/confusion! I've been reading on these Universal boards about the deals going on now (Wow, they sure are Great!)

SO I'm looking into planning a trip (with my entertainment book/code) I came across a deal for $536.12(total w/tax), Includes: 5 day/4 night stay (@Fairfield Inn Suites by Marriott on Canada Ave), 5 days of Universal/IOA, Also Kids eat free during stay, & City Walk pass....For our family of 4....2 adults/2 kids................

Is this deal too good to be true? Has anyone stayed at the Fairfield Inn & How is it?

I'm still researching because I see that at Royal Pacific Resort you get FOTL pass with your stay there. I like that. Hopefully we will be taking this trip the beginning/mid of May....Will we really need FOTL during this time? I would like it for at least one day for sure. I see that you can add it on to your ticket for like $15/$20....Would I be able to buy One for me & my hubby to take turns using?(Just to catch some last minute rides on the last day there). OR do we each need to have one?--It doesn't matter that we both won't be able to go on rides together--Our kids aren't old/tall enough for some of the rides we would use the FOTL for so one of us would have to stay behind with them anyway.

I noticed that on the RPR site....I can get a rate of $129 a night (FL resident) BUT it doesn't include taxes/fees. What amount of $ am I looking at to stay at the RPR for at least one night?

OR I wonder if we could afford staying at RPR (4 nights at least).....Maybe we can swing it if we don't do a whole package deal (We don't really need the Kids meal deal & I could buy the tickets separate if that would work out better). I guess I just need to know how much taxes/fees are on top of that $129/night rate @ RPR then I could figure it out for the 4 nights & compare. Please help! Sorry so long! I just don't know what to do.....I like the $536.12 rate quoted for everything (w/out FOTL, of course) at Fairfield BUT I haven't heard a thing about this hotel. And have heard Wonderful things about Royal Pacific Resort & also I like the perks of RPR too-Just don't know if we could afford it! Any AND All info on this would be Greatly appreciated!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations on your upcoming trip! I can see you're excited. First, taxes are 11.5%. Second, with two young children, staying onsite would probably be better for you. You can leave mid-day and walk back to RPR for a nap/swim break. $129 is a great price and well worth it. IF you decide to stay off-site, and you will be there for four days, I think that you will be able to ride everything that you want without express pass (since you will be going in May). You have to decide whether the convenience is worth the cost.

Hopefully this will help you. I am paying $1,117.82 through AAA for 5 nights at the same hotel may 20-25. It is me and my daughter and we are getting 5 day passes for both of us and 2 tickets to Discover Cove with Dolphin swim which are $279 each without taxes.

Depending on how much you could visit, we decided to go with APs. We usually go twice or three times a year, otherwise you can get the 5 days for $99.95 and depending on your kids ages, I think there was something about kid ticket(s) free with one adult.

I just bought my Universal tickets on line and they have three choices for a 2-day/2 park pass. We chose the free kid's ticket with each adult ticket which also includes three additional days free (5 days total). We're only going to be there three days, but it still seems a good deal.

We are going in mid May and we had the fairfield inn package and had some major second thoughts. Dh and I have 3 kids (8,4 and 1) and honestly did not want to wait in long lines. We decided to stay switchat HRH for $149 a night and feel very satisfied with our decision. I think with small kids staying on site is worth the price. The Express Passes only allow 1 FOTL per ride so to me it wasn't worth it. My 2 ds's LOVE Spiderman and plan on riding it over and over again so the express pass wouldn't have worked out for us. GL making your decision.

what is the code for the FL resident rate?

Thank U all for your input! Update: Still deciding but leaning toward the Fairfield deal & 1 day at RPR-Ugh...I dunno! I wish it weren't that way BUT it looks like that's the only way we'd be able to afford this vaca. Oh well, I'll take one day @ RPR over none.

If anyone has stayed at the Fairfield Inn on Canada Ave., please let me know what you thought. I think I'll post this question on the Univ. hotel board as well. I googled the Fairfield hotel & a majority of the reviews were good ones. I'm crossing my fingers.....

Thanks again all!!!!!
