Recieved a call today frim Wyndham. Offered WBC for 3 day 2 night at WBC for $179. What do others pay?

I am aware of the presentation she said would be on day 2 for 20 minutes so I will try for the 7am presentation since we will be there for cheer and the cheer schedule drives our availability.

She also offered a black friday type special for (2) 3 day 2 nights for around $265 (left paper at home) but said 18-months to use. So I said no cause I am not sure I would use within 18 months. We do travel a lot but sometimes u go for specific location within walking dista. E if events. I sort of regret not taking deal. She said it wasb only offered during call bur if I call her back she might could still do it.

I typically never pay more than $130 a night in Orlando with FL resident or military discounts.

Just some thoughts:

- Will you for sure stay at Wyndham Bonnet Creek and not a Wyndham Hotel? Many Orlando offers will do this.
- I ask because you say your presentation is 20 minutes. WBC presentation is longer than that according to variety of posters and sites.
- WBC presentation is published on their site as "120-minute CLUB WYNDHAM timeshare sales presentation."
-
If you are sure it is 20 minutes I would get that in writing and bring with you to avoid any issues with your cheer schedule.
- Remember it's not really 3 days, more like 1.3. You can not check in until 4 pm and must be out by 10 am. So only "day 2" is a day.

That said:
- We've stayed at WBC several times and we love it there!!
- We've never paid more than $66 night/1 bedroom or $88 night/2 bedroom but we stay for a week.
- We've never done a presentation but I have seen the folks being toured through the resort and the walking part. I don't see even that as 20 minutes.

It's almost certainly at least 120 minutes - not 20. It kills your day if that's all you have for the trip. You can get great rates from several of the companies frequently mentioned in these boards without having to deal with the presentation (vacationstrategy / vacationupgrades). Used both with no problems. Depending on season it's not much more than what you quoted without the strings.

I am still waiting for the confirmation e-mail but yes, it should be WBC. I told her my daughter's competition was at ESPN and she was talking about the distance from there and we specifically were talking about WBC. 20 min or 120 min will work as long as we get an early morning time. We are only there for cheer, no parks or anything. My daughter is on a Senior 5 team so they perform later in the day. At most competitions their team meet time is around 2.

We live in Tampa so we are in Orlando all the time and stay in hotels there all the time... just never stayed at WBC.

Hotel I wanted was Wyndham Ocean Walk in Daytona for a cheer competition. It's currently booked when I tried online, so I was hoping she could get me in. She was saying the had five other hotels in the area for those dates but not the Ocean Walk. I told her I wasn't interested in any of the other five since the Ocean Walk was walking distance to the competition and the others were not.

Stayed at Ocean Walk before it was totally completed. Really enjoyed it. The condos are smaller but being ocean front made up for it. Great walking area and has the "mall" right next door. If you ever get a chance again, I would check it out.

If you don't mind me asking how do you get such great deals? We are just little more than 60 days out and not finding anything less than about $125 a night.

I always use SkyAuction. Those prices include all taxes and fees.

If you look at the website there are auctions and buy it now and I have done both.
When you look at a resort, scroll to bottom. Some have additional fee of about $300 and some have no fee, resort chooses for each offer.
Also there are upgrade fees for different weeks. I am flexible in that I can adjust my dates.
They used to be non-refundable but now you can pay extra for ability to change etc.
Always a $20 Admin fee to SkyAuction.

Actually the first time I used them years ago I paid $46 total with taxes and fees for a 1 bedroom with an auction.
I won for $1 plus the $299 resort fee plus $20 SkyAuction fee.

I've also booked Sheraton Vistana Resort for total of $68 per night for a two bedroom.
Stayed in May for week before Memorial Day weekend and going again in January.

Go to their site, at top click search and just put in Bonnet Creek. All they have at moment comes up. Again read all the way through.

Thanks so much. I have been checking sky auction weekly but with the fees they charge it is just silly and more expensive for the time we are going

A couple of things about Wyndham -- from a HAPPY Wyndham owner:
  • The Wyndham timeshare system is great -- lots of nice resorts in dozens of great destinations.
  • The Wyndham SALES organization is one of the worst in a sleazy industry. The standard caution regarding Wyndham sales people (called Weasels!) is that if their lips are moving, they are lying.
  • Expect three things in the presentation:
    • The longer it takes, the more the price will come down
    • The longer it takes, the more intense the pressure will become
    • They will lie
  • VERY important -- if you want to purchase Wyndham, you can do so very cheaply in the resale marketplace. NEVER buy a timeshare from the developer -- in this case Wyndham.
  • Don't fall for "special deals." Anything they offer you, you can beat using resale, including their "trial membership."
  • Remember the part about their lips moving.

We have no desire to buy. We live in Tampa... no need to own a timeshare in Orlando. :) If I were to buy a timeshare it would be an ocean front unit... perhaps in South Carolina since I am original from Myrtle Beach and we go there often to visit relatives.

Or in the Smokey Mountains, TN. My dad and brother recent moved to TN and dad is about an hour south of the Smokey Mountains.

I would not buy a condo in Florida since I live in Florida... and my three sons (ages 23, 21, and 13) do not like Disney or Universal. My daughter is 12... we do not go to Orlando for real "vacations" only sporting events, maybe a concert, maybe shopping, but rarely stay more than one night.

They called me. I am on their calling list as a past guest at various Wyndham hotels.
