is this a good choice for DD?

she is asking for this for xmas, she just wants something to do quick video that she will put on the puter for fun. she has fun goofing off with her friends, being silly. this is the 30 min one, they have 60 mins too. will this video camera work ok for that? since it is a fun thing, I would rather not have to deal with buying tapes and all that. what do you think? I just hate buying these things and they end up being cheap and dont work. Amazon says...

now I see this one too- it is a tad less but has 60 mins. specs seem to be close, do you think this one is better for the money? other than color, what is the difference in these models (besides 30 and 60)
