Since we can take advantage of Magical Express when we go in aug, we are not very sure about renting a car and just using Disney transportation. We are staying at BWV. We are on a tight budget and would rather not rent a car since we now can get to Disney from the airport. My problem is I need to make a trip to the grocery store for some snacks, breakfast items, etc. We would pay $70 for FL Tour to pick us up at airport and make one stop at grocery store. Isn't Magical express free? But obviously no grocery stop! Would it be crazy for me or my husband to take a taxi to the nearest grocery store, shop, then call for a taxi back to the hotel? I'm wondering if this is the most economical way. Please help with any suggestions.

Not crazy at all.

There are also DISers who have had success using a service called www.wegoshop.com

You make out your list, they shop, and drop it to you at your resort, at a pre-determined time. I plan on using them in February. I believe it is only a $15 delivery fee up to $50, but all the pricing is detailed on the site.

I second this idea!

Others have mentioned sending a box of non perishables down to your resort the day you are arriving. sounds like a good idea.

That's crazy!

Just kidding! I would go with one of the shopping services.
