Is this a better idea?

Here is the situation :
4 adults, 4 children
2 bedroom at Old Key West
Check in Saturday June 10-check out Friday June 16

We want to fly down Friday evening so we will have the entire day Saturday to be in the parks. We tossed around the idea of getting 2 rooms off property for Friday, getting up early and checking into OKW, then heading into the parks. We would have to get some kind of transportation for 8 from MCO to off site property Friday thenfrom off site property to OKW Saturday morning.

I was thinking this may be a better idea-
Fly in Friday-reserve 2 rooms for Friday night at POP or All Stars-take ME there Friday night. Get up early Saturday, check out, have our luggage sent to OKW-go to the parks-check into OKW mid afternoon-ME back to MCO on the 16th from OKW.

I am thinking the second idea would be easier. t would save us time and money. Any opinions?

I think POP would be the way to go. Even though we drive, i allow an extra day on the road in case of unforeseen travel problems, and we usually spend our first night at POP since we generally arrive early. If you have an AP, I'd definately try for an AP rate at POP. Even without an AP rate, in the long run it will probably wind up cheaper than staying off-site and paying for transportation to the off-site location & then transportation to OKW.

Yes, any of the value resorts would be the way to go. Just get ajoining rooms and problem solved. I think you can get rates around $79 per night per room.

We using ME to get to Pop on the 9th of June as well, but the rate I got was $99. I was told the AP rates aren't out that far yet. I've even been calling back to check, so far I haven't been able to get it for less.
We'll be checking into OKW on Sunday, and we'll be using their luggage service as well.
