Is this a bad PS time?

DH and I have decided to eat at the CG for our anniversary dinner the first week of October. I admit that we waited too long to call for PS arrangements... we didn't decide on CG until now. Anyway, I call last night to request the day we wanted. The MK fireworks that night are at 8:00 so we were thinking 7:30ish. The only times they had were 6:10 and 7:50. I took the 7:50, however now I am scared there is almost no chance we'll get the coveted window seat w/ the awesome fireworks view. Is there any hope? I just figured if I took the 6:10 we'd be completely finished by 8:00. I can't believe we waited too long!!!

What day are you going for your anniversary dinner? I only ask because DH and I are going on October 7th and we have a 7:50 PS time also. I am not going to stress about the window seat. Maybe we will get lucky. :)

You may not even be seated at 7:50. Or you might get seated, but probably not a good view. I can't imagine anyone would get up 10 min before the show starts and give up their prime spot.

You may want to get the 6:10 one, have a nice dinner and then go out onto the balcony to view from there. Or make your way across to the Poly beach for a viewing there?

Can you switch dates possibly? I know if might not be your anniv night, but that might help get you a better time.

We're going on 10/4... just wondering, are there any seats you absolutely cannot view any of the fireworks show from? If we changed our PS to 6:10 is there any way our meal could take us an hour and a half?

If I remember correctly (and its been a few years), the show is to the right side and there is seating to the left that either doesn't have a view or not a great view. I remember people getting out of their seats and coming closer for a better view.

I think you can possibly stretch out that time, especially if you eat a lot and drink. Maybe order a bottle of wine and an appetizer. They bring out breads I think. Entrees then dessert. I think it can be done, and by getting there early enough, you have a better chance of getting a good seat.

Don't know if this will work, but when you get there, say you really, really, REALLY want a window seat and would be willing to wait. Might work.. :)

i would definitely take the 6:10 ps instead of the 7:50... chances are good w/the 7:50 that you won't get seated 'til after 8pm... but w/the 6:10 if you arrive right on the dot, you may not sit 'til 6:20 or 6:30 and that's perfect amount of time to enjoy your meal and still be there for the fireworks... esp if you order multiple courses... you will be seated even later if you offer to wait for a window table...

i've read this on some other threads, if you want to really take your time w/a meal (some people are in a hurry, others like to linger and enjoy each course w/out the feeling of being rushed) order each course individually... don't order your main course until after your appetizers or salads have been served... it will help make the meal longer and is better for you (healthwise) not to rush...

ENJOY & HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!:earsboy: :earsgirl:

definitely take the 6:10 PS.

we have had PS at 6PM at the CG because of the MK fireworks nothing was available until 8PM or later.

we got to the CG and had to wait at least 15 minutes for a window table (fine w/ us!!).

as posters suggested we ordered a cocktail, reviewed the menu ordered multiple courses.

we were however up front w/ the CM and told him we wanted a leisurely meal and wanted to view the fireworks.

the CM was fine with it .... we tipped more than usual for taking up so much time at the table.
