Is this a bad idea?

Hi everyone!

I'll be going to Disney from 9/30-10/8, and I bought my flight down with Southwest a few weeks ago. I still have to buy the return flight home, and I know SW will be extending their schedule again on 3/15, but if tomorrow when Jet Blue releases their prices through October, if they have a good price on a return flight home, should I just buy it? Is it a bad idea to fly down on one airline and fly home on another? :confused3 Or should I just wait a week and see what SW has to offer? Is Jet Blue more expensive when you don't buy a round trip ticket? Has anyone done this before?

Thanks! :)

Many people do this!! If JetBlue has a price tomorrow you like I'd go for it. Nothing wrong with flying two different airlines. People do it all the time!

JetBlue, Southwest, AirTran, Spirit - all sell one-way fares. There's no surcharge for purchasing one way, or discount for buying round trip. Go for it!

Just an update-I decided to go ahead and book Jet Blue to fly home from Orlando, and we're flying down on Southwest! I looked at the SW prices today and they are crazy compared to Jet Blue! Hope it's not too confusing flying 2 airlines in one trip! :)
