For those who've stayed at SSR, do you know if there's wireless anywhere in the resort?

We leave in 8 days and DH may bring his laptop. Just curious.... ;)

Thanks!

There isn't wireless at SSR. There is a hook-up to the internet in the Master BR right by the desk.

He'll need an Ethernet cable. If he doesn't have one, there may be one in the room, or he can get one from Mousekeeping.

There is a charge for high-speed Internet access -- I think it's $9.95 a day.

JimMia - Thanks for that tip. I'm sure he has one but I'll double check. I was going to ask about the price next ;) $9.95 per day isn't bad. I'll ask when we check in just to make sure.

7 More Days To Go!! :dance3:

The cost is actually $9.95 per 24 hour period. Depending on your needs, you wouldn't really have to purchase it every day, but could still use it every day.

Dialup is also an option where the only cost would be for the phone call. Cost is $0.35 for members and $0.75 for other guests for local calls. You would need to have an ISP with a local number - we use Netzero which is a free service with lots of local connection numbers for WDW.

Enjoy!

Doc,

On NetZero's website it says the first month is free, then $9.95/month. Do you just get for the time you are at disney and then cancel the service?

I think Doc is referring to the free net zero advertiser supported service.

From the netzero site:

For the occasional Internet user, NetZero also offers an ad-supported Free ISP which gives consumers free internet access to anywhere on the Internet, for up to 10 hours each month, webmail, a reliable Internet connection, compatibility with many popular instant messaging programs offered by AOL, EarthLink, MSN and Yahoo††, and easy access to search engines, news and sports headlines, shopping, financial services and more. Download NetZero free internet service in only 2 minutes at www.netzero.net.

That's great info to know...thanks :thumbsup2

If you have DSL service at home, check with the provider to see if they offer free dial-up. I've had DSL through SBC (now AT&T) for over 2 years now, and they provide free dial-up service as well. I've used it at WDW several times with no problems.
