Is there such a thing?

I saw a few low carb items advertised in the WW book.

I would like to be on a diet that is similar to weight watchers that would allow me to watch my carbs so I can be aware of my blood sugar levels.

You can absolutely incorporate lower-carb eating with WW... except WW calls it "higher protein" ;)

Check it out in this thread. Scroll down a few posts, AnnieT has posted a link to a WW Nutrition Guide that explains three versions of a "quick start" program... (I think that was the name). It's a three page PDF file. The second page is the lower carb version, and the third page, called the "Red Light" version is the lowest in carbs.

WW philosophy is that carbs are a necessary part of a balanced diet, but this is guidance for eating a lower, controlled number of carbs.

(With the new program changes that are being unveiled this week, there could be changes to this coming up.)

Thanks Kathy! I am really getting psyched now.

I thought this to be the case.

I do not do weight watchers, but they have the frozen meals, Smartones that are lower carb. They do advertise them as low carb per se, but on the front it states The truth about carbs. I buy them for my lunch and I like them better that the low carb Lean Cuisines. And at my local super markets the Smart Ones have more selections

The new WW Core program seems like it would be a great program to do low-carb with. The program just came out on yesterday. SnackyStacky (Dan) has a thread about the new program.

I agree with ALL the posters here. Kathy is right-on with the High Protein (low carb alias). ;) I also feel that the new program didn't necessarily promote low carb, but it does promote lowER carbs. Do I make any sense?

Kathy is also correct in stating that WW promotes carbs as NECESSARY. Whether YOU restrict them or not, is purely personal.
