I understand that when staying on Disney property, your room key & park tickets/passes are all on the same card. Can this card also be used as a charge card to charge your meals to your credit card @ the hotel?

Absolutely, you can also apply cash and gift cards to your room key, so that you actually wouldn't get charged anything on your card. When I got WDW I usually empty out my wallet and leave my I.D., Room Key and Rainforest Cafe Safari Club card, in case I decide I want to go there at the least minute (reduces the wait time and takes 10% off the bill or a free appetizer).

And to make it even better, if you are travelling with kids, they can have meal credits (if you are on the DDP). park tickets, and room access on their cards without the charging privilidges attached. Last week dh and mine's card were hooked up to our cc, the kids' weren't.

Those cards can even be your room keys to your staterooms if you are taking a Disney Cruise as part of a Land and Sea package. They are amazing little pieces of plastic!

You might want to look at the Everything About WDW Tickets locked sticky in the TPA&S Forum. Post #12 discusses the Key To The World (KTTW) which is the room key. To get there directly, follow the link in my signature.

They are also you MNSSHP or whatever party you plan to attend if you get the tickets down there
This is not correct. You can only have one ticket encoded on the KTTW. If you are going to one of the special parties it is a separate ticket. If you pick up the ticket at a resort it is on the same type of card stock, but is still separate from everything else.
