Is there such a thing as a slow season anymore?

I agree with some of the folks that have already chimed in: I find January/February slow (as long as you avoid holidays) but for me, personally, I love hot weather, and have been pleasantly surprised to find that *specifically* Saturdays in July are quite nice! The Magic Keys are blocked, and they have full hours and entertainment. It is counter-intuitive, but true!

Disney has gotten really good, to an almost evil degree, in controlling crowds. During times of lower expected guests, they will announce cheaper tickets (like for kids), or a so-cal deal. As others have said, they also lower staffing on slower days, and don’t run as many vehicles on attractions. So even if the park has less people, the wait times tend to stay higher than you would think.

It’s not like knotts berry farm or even universal studios where there CAN be really dead days.

The only other thing I can add is to avoid Mondays and to a lesser extent Tuesdays, they tend to be the worst. Weekends and Wednesday and Thursdays tend to be best choices. I have been there where Sunday was the least busy day.

I've been planning a sister trip but my sister HATES crowds (Who doesn't?) so I'm trying to think of the best time to go. She doesn't care much about rides so refurb season isn't an issue.

Maybe mid January- March? April? What do you guys think?
When it rains.

Me and DW went to Disneyland mid-January this year. Crowds were busier than expected but then it rained for two days. Wait times went down to 10 minutes or less. Rise of the Resistance was even a zero-minute wait.

I've had days at SFMM where there was literally zero wait time for most of the coasters, it was just walk in and you're immediately at the front. Sometimes they'll even let you stay on for two if there's nobody waiting.

The only three I ever see a line for are Full Throttle, Tatsu, and X2 (my favorite).

July will likely be less crowded than June, if it plays out like the last few summers.
I'll check the second half of July. My kids birthdays are in the beginning of the month so I can't take off then. What about late June? We've done that a few times and it seems ok, but you'll know better than me since you're local.

Late June can be fine. Just check that it's after the two lowest MK's have been blocked for summer. I think it's usually around mid month. Saturdays are still the best in summer when the three lowest keys are all blocked.
