Is there still a family hot tub on the Fantasy?

I know the glass bottom hot tub on the pool deck is now a splash pool, but is it warm like a hot tub? My kids love to ride the Aquaduck at night and then go straight to the hot tub, but I'm worried it's gone after dry dock. :(

The hot tub is gone. Even if the splash pool is "heated", it won't be hot tub warm. :eeyore:

Honestly, I find even the regular pools are hot tub warm and the hot tubs are insane.

I never found that to be true. The pools felt like normal pools to me, and the hot tub was a typical hot tub. I suppose everyone's body chemistry gives them a different sensitivity to heat, however.

Agree - the hot tub to me felt like a hot tub - if anything it was maybe a little cool compared to other hot tubs. I am a little sad to see it go, but I understand the reasons - hot tubs are not meant for little kids in any case.

yes it was always a little crowded! They just liked to warm up at night after the Aquaduck! Oh well, not a big deal. I'll just have to go to the quiet cove to relax!

My experience was the hot tubs in the family area never felt more than lukewarm, never hot like a hot tub should be. I agree that hot tubs are not meant for kids. For that reason alone, I'm glad they are gone from the family pool deck. They were always full of kids and it was never relaxing to sit in one.

I guess that was the point to me. You see it at the resorts too - I think some parents are much too lenient on letting kids into hot tubs. There are a couple of issues with that - the first is that little children that have mistakes can be problematic because of the relatively small space / amount of water in a hot tub. The second (and perhaps larger issue) is that a hot tub that is truly a hot tub can be dangerous for little kids - not just in the height of the water but that the temperature can make them dangerously ill.

Although the hot tub in the family area was smaller and not too hot, it was more or less a falsity to have it there - just make it look like a kiddy pool and admit it is one. :-)

That's what they did.

I wish it were still there...It was nice to get into after riding the Aqua Duck.
