We love our Starbucks:surfweb: here in Texas, any chance there is one near DisneyLand? I searched but nothing came up on this board.....:confused3

any help, thanks!:thumbsup2

We were told last year (for our first trip) that there was no Starbucks. However, there are several places where you can get a decent cup. We stayed at the DLH, and DH got a refillable mug at the coffee shop there. He gets drip coffee, and this saved us a lot of money! I got a latte every other morning or so; not as good as Starbucks, but not bad. One morning we stopped at a place in DTD. The staff wasn't terribly friendly or helpful, but the place was very busy and the coffee was OK.

I'm not a coffee drinker (tea only), but my DH is addicted to his Starbucks coffee. Though there are certainly more locations, we have found 4 near DL where DH can get that Starbucks fix:

1. Anaheim Hilton (on Convention Way)
2. Hyatt Orange County (corner of Harbor and Chapman)
3. In a plaza across the street from the Doubletree Orange County (which is next to the Block at Orange) on City Drive
4. Inside the Block at Orange on City Boulevard

We've always had a car, so we drove to those locations. I don't know if there are any that are closer so you can walk. Maybe the locals can point them out.

Seems like there's one in the lobby of one of the big hotels like the Hilton or the Sheraton...

They have a couple of coffee shops in DTD that have good coffee drinks, and then there's the one on Main St. in Disneyland, too.

I usually manage to make it without my Starbucks for a few days while I'm there!:scared:

Isn't there a place on main st. that will let you get refills if you keep their cup for the day? I thought I had read that somewhere.

There is also a Starbucks inside the Anaheim Marriott. In case you don't already know, any Starbucks location inside a hotel, grocery store, airport, etc is not run by Starbucks Coffee Company. These are known as licensed stores. Kind of like going to a Disney Store. The coffee is the same, but the experience probably won't be. It's also worth noting that the staff at those type of Starbucks locations are NOT Starbucks Partners. They work for the hotel, grocery store or the foodservice vendor.

To put it in more simple terms, the person who makes your coffee at a "Starbucks" in one of these locations is probably cross-trained in other stores. Like at the airport when SB is next to Pizza Hut. There is a good chance that the same employees work at both. This is why so many people complain about these Starbucks stores and compare them to their local Starbucks at home.

All that being said, you'll probably get a better quality product at a licensed Starbucks than a Disney coffee house, but the service at Disney could still be better.

I am addicted to starbucks and went thru serious withdrawls during our trip. I was soo missing my venti white mocha and could not find one that suited my taste... Not saying that they don't have good coffee, but I am a serious starbucks FREAK and whatever type of coffee/syrup combo they used just didn't taste as good.... My sister is a coffee bean girl and she was fine with her blended mocha.
I think that maybe I am just too picky... :goodvibes

We're staying at the Hyatt, and I've already given my coffee-obsessed DH a Starbucks giftcard for the trip. :goodvibes

Our one complaint about Disneyland, and DTD is that the coffee is bad. I wish for a Starbucks in DTD!!!

Unfortunately the hotel starbucks do not take giftcards ... as stated earlier they are not real starbucks so they are not on the same credit system. i had my Duetto card loaded up for my last trip at the Marriott Suites and no go ... oh well i had no problem spending all those starbuck bux when i got home. The coffee tastes the same though and having a decent cup of coffee in the morning was the only thing good about staying so far and shuttling to DL. This trip however i am across the street from DL and will just have to make my own in the room if i want a decent cup.

Really??? Refills at the blue ribbon bakery??? Thanks for the tip, im gonna look more into that :)

I do wish they had a starbucks at Disneyland. Can you imagine how busy they would be in there. YIKES! :scared:

The Anaheim Hilton and Marriott, both across the street from Disneyland, have franchised Starbucks (i.e. they do not use the Starbucks Cards). Disneyland sells Nescafe Coffee and it is HORRIBLE to this coffee afficionado. I prefer Folgers over that stuff.

Blue Ribbon Bakery. And I'm not sure you have to keep the cup. I seem to recall my dh having to show his receipt maybe?

I'm one of the very few who is not that into Starbucks. Everyone else I know is hooked! I could see the mocha lattes dancing in their eyes!

You have to keep the cup and show your receipt. Sorry, I should have said that earlier. Our ART driver gave us this tip on our last trip. I think that's a pretty cool little known secret. I didn't think there was anything free at Disneyland.

You know, it's a marriage made in Heaven....Disney + Starbucks...

I have to go cold turkey for the days I'm there...you can get a mocha at the Bakery on Main Street and it's passable at best. Same thing with LaBrea Bakery in Downtown Disney...and the worst one was the bakery in the train car right off the square in CA. I'm not really a plain coffee person but for the few days I'm there...I just have to make do.

What I really miss is a mocha frap...because no one really makes great cold coffee drinks there.

Ah, but a small price to pay for the trade off....

Thank you. We will have the stroller again this year so we can just stash the cup :) That should make hubby happy. We need or cup a Joe in the morning.
