IS there something in your scrap books that you make sure is 100% safe?

Or you are very picky about? Granted this could get heated. But can also be a great source of information. And wont' hi jack anyone elses threads!

For me I am very picky about my adhesive. I won't use a glue stick for anything! When I get them in crop gift reg. bags I give them to my kids. Even if it says safe. No idea why but something about them.
I use either hermifix tabs or CM tape runner. I also use my mini x zyron. I use to use hemifix dots but found they weren't sticking great. Not sure if because they were bought out and the company changed them or they were stored wrong.

I also don't use wrapping paper or things like that. Unless it is for the memorbelia sake.
Other than that I am good to go.

The only thing I am picky about in my scrapbooks is that I put in the best pictures possible for a layout (meaning, not my butt! :) ) and that the journaling I do is as accurate as possible.

I don't get into the arguments about which way is the "best" to scrapbook or which products you should ONLY use...I use what I like.

No, not really.

Once, I got over my fear of the white pages and what to do with them, I was good to go. Back in the groove. I've learned a lot lurking and asking an occasional question. Thanks to everyone.

I do try not to have a bumpy on the right side hit a bumpy on the left side when the album is closed.

adhesive - and its more about a what works things -
I HATE when pages fall apart later in time  :sad2:

That would drive me nuts too....so as a new scrapbooker, what would recommend to me?

dreams91, I LOVE your carriage picture. So beautiful!!! Cyndi did you see that? That's me next year when I renew my vows. OH MY I love it!!!

OK my thing would be adhesive. I love the scrapbook adhesive. It's in a red thing. It's called Scrapbook adhesive. I also love the Duck stuff. I cannot think of the brand. Duck something brand. It's also in a red thing. You can use it with vellum and it doesn't show. What's it called? I will have to look when I get a chance.

I am not as picky about whether it is "safe" as much as I am about the quality of products I use. ( hence why I probably have more tools then scrapbook stuff ). Which I guess when you look at it , is being choicy about its safety also. Now I will admit I do tend to trust MM medals more then just any old metals and I haven't tried drywall tape. But I won't say that I wouldn't ever use them. Most of my pages are on buffered paper so I probably worry even less. Recently I worked on a page from a meet with one of my Disney friends and hubby had brought some office depot christmas stickers ( they look like the bubble stickers ) for me. Well I as out of page protectors and there must have been some type of residue on my tokens because it took the color off of the pictures on two different pages ( I had tokens on both sides ). Lesson learned for me , use page protectors ! Thankfully it was a copy and I just printed up a new one on my Epson printer.

OK, now completely off topic. Man Kelli is that next year ? You know I plan to be there ( and WDW wasn't even on our visit list for next year ). Have you started planning ? Let me know if you need some help. :wave2: You know that's my dream job - to be a wedding coordinator at WDW.

OK, back to regular sceduled program.

Cyndi

What tokens were on the page Cyndi?

No it's not next year! OOPS! It's 2007. Sorry I got you all excited about that. You have it right. I will definitely holler at you and Vanessa if I need some help! Thanks!

Hey Kelli:
How many years for you & Mike when you renew your vows?
Judy

PS I use the CM photo tape or tape runner.

I have tried a TON of adhesives -
and hate to say my favorite by far is creative memories tape runners
I LOVE my zyron sticker makers too!
And Glue DOTS work great as well

some of the things I found didn't stand the test of time were Zig glue pens
sailor glue pens, and glue sticks

Hermafix is OK (they run out real quick!)

hth

:sad2: Please don't say that about the zig glue pens! I really liked them. I hope all my pages don't fall apart! I also just bought the hermafix on sale at M's but what do you use for the small things then. I really did like those zig pens!

I have used tombo Mono aqua liquid glue. Never had a problem with things not sticking. I have even used it to fix some CHristmas decorations that broke.
I use my xyron mini x for the small stuff. It is a sticker maker. You can buy it at Mike's for $10. I don't care for the repositional roll. Great to move stuff around but I swear lately it isn't sticking.

Judy, you freaked me out when I saw David's screen name. I thought when did he start scrapbooking. I saw where he uses CM adhesive. Then I saw it was you. LOL!!!

We will be married 20 years when we renew our vows. We had always said we would wait until 25 years and go back to Jamaica to do that. With the girls medical conditions we decided to move it up to 20 years. Also Disney just is the absolute perfect place for it now.
