Is there something going on this week? 5/8-5/12

We're planning a trip from 5/21 to 5/24. We got our flight and hotel booked, but still waiting on buying the tickets. While on the park reservations page, I noticed that are no more reservations for May 9th, 10th and 12th. Is something going on those days? Does this mean that the parks are going to be packed? If I go ahead and buy the tickets for our dates and later see that there are no longer reservations, I want to know what to expect. in advance!!

there is a SW night, and some grad nights, maybe that's it- our park days are 10/11/12th, so hoping it's not insane, but if it is, oh well!

I would reserve your spots as soon as possible. What happens now is weekends are usually booked several weeks in advance, but days tend to open up the day before. Disneyland is always crowded

They system is designed to run out of reservations. The number of reservations available is not constant.

On days with low numbers of available reservations, Disney will reduce staffing levels. Thus, operations slow down to match the lower crowd level.

So, whether the park feels busy is based upon how many reservations went to key holders vs. ticket buyers, staffing levels, and when people show-up/leave for the day.
