Is there really FREE Soda??

Ok, Here is my question? Is there really FREE sodas????? I went last May and you could get free soda on deck 9, or at dinner but if you were by the pool or anywhere else you had to either have a mug which you have to pay for or pay for sodas from the CM that help by the pool or at lunch or at CC for examples.
So could any of you who have been on the lastest cruises please tell me if DCL has changed and there are now FREE sodas everywhere like at the pool area, buffets lunches, at CC, etc. or is it the same as it was when we went last May. I hope to here that it is FREE!!!

Ok, so if I understand correctly there is now free soda! Yea, but no one talked about CC. Is there free soda on CC also?

At Cookies, yes. But if you order from one of the roving CMs taking drink orders, then no - it's just like ordering from the bar on the ship, which you still have to pay for separately.

Thanks for helping out. Not that I should have a soda but nice to know that I can get one for free if we get the thrist for one. LOL
