Is there pedestrian access to Toy Story Lot off W. Katella Ave?

Hey everyone,

Just want to get some confirmation and/or advice on the best route to get to Disneyland.

We are staying at Wyndham Anaheim (515 W Katella Ave, Anaheim, CA) From my research, it seems that walking from the Wyndham Anaheim to Toy Story Lot would be our best bet. When looking online I see pictures that say no pedestrian access off of W. Katella Ave. Can anyone confirm if this is still true or untrue? As opposed to walking from Wyndham Anaheim straight to Disneyland, says it’s about 16-20 minutes while the hotel to Toy Story Lot is about a 6 minute walk.

What would you do or have done and suggest? Thank you all in advance!

Yes there is access. Follow the line and you will end up at the busses.

I will say that during busy times it can be a 20-30 minute wait to get through security and on the bus. So while it may save steps in general it can actually take longer to get to the park.

Thank you for your reply and confirmation. Would it be crazy or a waste to drive to the parks, given the distance and cost of parking?

Yes! Unless someone in your party has a mobility issue, Wyndham is very walkable. I’ve never had it take more than 15 minutes to walk to the hotels surrounding it. If walking is not a possibility, I’d use a ride share.

I wouldnt drive and pay for parking. I would probably walk to Toy Story and take the bus there. Or at worst walk to the park and take the bus back to toy story.

The walk from the Wyndham is about the same as the walk from Pixar Place. It would be faster to walk to the parks vs using the Toy Story bus. The Toy Story bus is a nice return option at the end of the day when you are exhausted.

Looking at a map, by the time you backtrack along Katella to Clementine entrance and then across the Toy Story lot to the security/loading area, you've probably walked just about as far as going straight to Disneyland. We've stayed at the Desert Palms hotel a bunch of times and it is almost exactly as far as the Wyndham (both set back just a bit from Harbor on opposite sides). It only takes about 10 minutes walk from that corner (Harbor/Katella) which isn't even worth an Uber ride. If you have a car at the hotel there is no reason to use it to get to DL.
