Is there or is there not a special FP+ seating area for Fantasmic?

I'm seeing conflicting reports on this.

We were there last nite using a FP. Yes. The dead center section is for FP dining package. Immediately to the left of them ( facing stage) is regular FP section. When they were filled they opened up the right side and the far corners for standby. There are actual signs hanging that say seating for fast pass dining guests and regular fast pass guests. If you want to be very close to the stage you need to be there when they start letting in.we got there about 810 and were about halfway up in the fast pass section.

But if there isn't a reserved section for FP+, then it's not a good thing to use FP+ for.

There was a special FP+ section when we were there in September but it was totally filled by the time we got there (probably about 45 minutes ahead of time.) We decided to continue to pay for the Fantasmic package instead of FP+.

I guess I am the odd ball. I would be upset to have to sit down in front. I always sit maybe 3-4 rows from the back. I have always also been one of the first one in to choose this seating area. DH goes and gets snacks while we save his seat. Sitting that close to the front means getting out afterwards really slow. I would rather sit in back closer to the exit.
