Will DS (10) and I be able to share a meal at CG or Jiko on dining plan? I've read that you can and I've read you can't on DDP:confused3
I know we can't do it at any characters meals.

no, unfortunately you can not share at table service restaurants (unless you get a really cool server) but you can for CS.

I have the same problem. My DD is 10 and I am sure we will waste a lot of food. I personally just ate kids meals last time we went and I was full (no, I am not tiny and I love food!!!!!) the portions are just large!

I really think they should re-think kids as being under 12.........10 is pretty young!

From the Dining Plan FAQ for this forum:
Can I share meals on the Dining Plan?
Sharing is never permitted at buffet or prix fixe meals. Beyond that, this is actually two separate questions, addressed below...

Can I share meals with guests not on the Dining Plan?
No. The Dining Plan cannot be shared with guests who aren't registered as part of your hotel reservation.

Can I share meals with other guests on the Dining Plan staying in on the same hotel reservation as me?
There is no clear answer to this. Consistently, guests seem to be allowed to share the meals ordered on the Dining Plan amongst the guests at their table, with the exception of fixed price meals, such as buffets or other all-you-can-eat options. However, this question was been asked directly to Disney via email, by a number of guests, and consistently, they have answered this question by saying specifically that, "sharing is not permitted." At this time, it is not clear as to whether Guest Communications is putting out a valid or invalid policy, since our sources in Disney Dining say unofficially that there is no "no sharing" policy, and it appears that if there is such a policy, most or perhaps all restaurants are waiving that policy for most or perhaps all of their guests. Despite several attempt to get clarification about that statement, no clarification appears to be forthcoming from Guest Communications, and nothing official has been released by Disney Dining to resolve the confusion.

Thank for your replies.
If they have a no sharing policy, can I pay OOP for DS who will not eat much at either CG or Jiko while the rest of us use DDP credits?
