Is there enough to do at SeaWorld?

Is it worth going back the 2nd day to SeaWorld or should I spend an extra day at Disney.?

We are going to Florida for a total of 8 days/7 nights. We have 3 children, 2 of which have never been to disney and no one has been to SeaWorld. My initial plan is to spend 2 days at SeaWorld and 5 days at Disney and one day would just be a hang out day. Since ware going for such a short period of time, should we not go to SeaWorld the 2nd day and spend at Disney instead??

I love Sea World, but honestly I think it is a one day park. I had the same optiion a couple of months ago and planned to do this, but after 1 day at the park we did everything we wanted to. It was a great visit though, best service on my entire vacation.

It guess it depends on the time of year. When we went in July 2007, we went for two days and we still didn;t do everything.

It depends on how your family tours a park. If you are only there for the rides, then yes SW can be done in one day.

But then you miss a lot of what SW has to offer: animal shows (Sea Lion; Dolphin; and of course Shamu; and the Pet show is cute too); the normal touring, animal exhibits which can take some time to enjoy. Then there are other animal interactions like feeding sea lions, or feeding and touching dolphins, stingrays, etc.

IME there is plenty to do over 2 days, with a mix of rides, shows, animal exhibits. And the other benefit of that is: you're not rushing around so much, but taking your time and relaxing on your vacation. FWIW.

We went a few years ago in February and we didn't get to a lot of exhibits. Our goal was to see the headliner shows and feed/pet the dolphins. The shows were amazing and I am glad we did those, but we also didn't do a lot of the exhibits and we didn't do any of the rides I was surprised just how big the park was. The map is very deceiving and it might look like something is close by, but it isn't.

Ditto the above. We went June 2008. It was our first time being there. We loved it but did take two days to see all the shows and attractions. Really didn't ride the rides either. If you go one day you will be running from on show to another... I think you need two days minimim.. though we have been to WDW every year for the past 5 years we stil have things we have not done in the parks..

We went in January, spent 1 full day and on our way to airport spent probably another 4-5 hours to see the shows we didn't see the first day. One day was not enough for me and my daughters, we loved it so much. The girls are 6 & 8. Have fun, make sure you feed the dolphins!

If you have the extra day and won't have to give up anything disney related.. I would do the extra day at SW. We just got back from our trip and we only spent 1 day at SW (we only had 6 days total and also did WDW and 1 day at Universal/IOA) and we didn't get to do all that we wanted. We did feed the dolphins, saw some of the shows, did the penquin/puffin tour and looked at a few more exhibits, my 4 year old loved Shamu's Happy Harbour but she only got to play a little while since we were so crunched for time. We could have spent another day or two there. Like a previous poster said... the maps make it look a lot smaller than it is.
Anyway, if i could.. I would definately spend at least two days there.

The last time we were at sea world the kids were about 4 and 6. They loved it. My husband and I loved the roller coasters and water ride.
I think the park gave the kids freedom to roam instead of standing on line for another ride. It is definately a full day for us and if we wanted to see every show then we would need to add another day. It depends on how much you wish to accomplish.

I think there is A LOT to do at SeaWorld.

I spent two days there (half a day during each day).

You may not be able to see all the shows the same day. For example, there is a show that happens only at night I beleive, forgot the name.

shamu rocks is the night time show plus you get the fireworks at the end of the day aswell. we go to seaworld everytime we go to orlando and go twice plus its good to have a lazy day then go on the evening for the night time shows, plus its not so busy then .

A question:


If you do the 2nd day does it have to be consecutive to the 1st day??? so for example can I go on Monday and Wednesday??

When I bought tix online it said use w/in 7 days so not consecutive. I plan to go for a few hours our first night(we are at HGVC across from SW) and then do a full day a few days after

You can easily stretch SW into two days. There is a lot to do besides the rides.

It's a one day park IMO.
