I am not bringing down a laptop and need to access my email for 5 mins one of the days next week. Is there anywhere on WDW property I can do this? Any idea how much it will cost? Were staying at BCV.

I checked my e-mail at the business center at the Boardwalk Inn during one stay. I think it was $10 for 10 minutes or fewer. I thought that was very steep but it's geared toward people on expense accounts.

How about using the dial up from the room? For members it's .35 for the call, non-members .75/call.

LOL, Laurajean - the OP said she isn't bringing her laptop. AFAIK, the DVC perks don't yet include computers in the rooms - would sure be nice, though! :teeth:

Best wishes -

There are also free computers in the cafe at DisneyQuest. I checked my hotmail, and DH checked his mindspring when we were there in March.

If you use webmail there is a computer station in Norway by Epcot.
Are you certain of this? There used to be computer stations in a number of places in WDW where you could get internet access at a reasonable fee. Last few times I visited (starting 9/04) all of those stations were gone.

Is there another station you are referring to? I was at The World in April, and as of then I didn't see any internet kiosks. The business centers and DTD were the only options. BWV business center price was annoyingly steep IMHO.

I couldn't get my email at DisneyQuest. They are set not to accept cookies, and my email service wouldn't work. Also, the computers there are frequently all being used.
There is a Kinko's a little bit north of Crossroads Plaza.
If I remember correctly, the charge was 20 cents a minute.

Well I don't recall when I saw it. But I do have the location wrong. It is by the Bathrooms near the glass cutting booth. It may in fact be gone.

Yeah, sorry to say it's gone, I know exactly where you mean. My older daughter is addicted to the internet and HAS to check her email at least twice a trip--and we only go for 6 days! I knew where all those cute kiosks were, and they are all gone unfortunately. There were 2 that I can think of offhand in Epcot, and two in the MK that I know of, all have been removed. There also used to be kiosks for internet access in all of the deluxe resorts, it was so easy to go to the BWV phone bank outside the lobby area and check email. Reasonable too. They took them all out sometime between May and September of last year. I inquired as to why, and never got a really good answer. I was told that they were rarely used, but I don't really believe that.

So unfortunately if you don't bring your own laptop the only options are Disney Quest--where, as someone else already said, it's not easy to get a computer unless you are very vigilant, or paying the ripoff prices the business centers charge.

This is actually a huge complaint I have about WDW, one of the very few things they are behind the times in. I was recently in New Orleans and each room in the hotel I was in had web tv. For less than $10/day you could have internet access all day long, and it was an even better price if you paid for a week of access. WDW should realize, IMHO, that most of us would really appreciate that option. Maybe someday.

Bummer. On the ones in the parks. That stinks.

You may want to check the Swan and Dolphin business center prices. Also if you are going to have a car, many people have reported that Kinko's is much cheaper.
