Is there anything better than working all week but then having Friday through Sunday at the Fort? We know we can go to a park, or Downtown Disney, or go to the other hotels, or do absolutely nothing at all! Sooooooo relaxing!

I loved doing that. drive up from Ft Lauderdale friday night and have fun till monday night. (fri/sat off from one week sun/mon the next week). Sometimes we couldn't make it till saturday morning, but a weekend at the fort was the best.

One year, it was summer time, seasonals blocked out. So we decided to go for the weekend, but go to Typhoon one day. Beautiful weather friday and saturday, and wanted to end it with typhoon. Big mistake, it was pouring down rain. So we took a rain check and left the horribly over crowded water park for another resort hopping day. Went back late september and enjoyed a lovely day at Typhoon with very little crowds.

One of my favorite things about living in Tampa is being about an hour and a half away from the mouse! Of course being born in Tampa and growing up going to Disney alot is great too!

I agree with you 100%!!
We usually go Thurs. thru Mon.
My DH always says I take for granted what we can do all year long and other people can't. I guess I just believe everyone goes as much as we do.
