Well, anything other than actually going on the trip, LOL! I just booked my room ressies yesterday, and I'm pumped! I can't wait to do the Sunrise Safari! I also noticed on my countdown that I'm in the 200's now. Woo Hoo! Anyone else just book their resort? Also, is anyone else planning to be down at WDW Nov. 28 - Dec. 4? How about a DIS meet? ::MickeyMo

NO!! No, there is NOTHING as fun as booking a Disney trip!! :teeth: We just booked the Polynesian for after our cruise this summer and I have to admit that I am as excited about this part of the trip as I am about the actual cruise! :sunny:

And congrats on booking your trip!!!

Elisabeth, the only thing just as fun as booking a WDW trip is planning a DL trip :p I would love to be able to meet up with you at WDW in December. I do have plans to go then, but nothing set in stone yet. I'll probably look more after my DL trip :teeth: And I need to see if I can finally convince my DH to join me... that would totally change where I stay I think :teeth:

Talking about it with all of us who think there is nothing better then booking a WDW trip:D

Enjoy your planning.

I agree, it's pretty darn fun. Wish I were booking a trip! DH INSISTS we go somewhere different before we go back to Disney....since we're low on funds right now, it's gonna be a long time before we go back to WDW....:(

I just booked my wdw vacation last week and am so excited about going (even though it's not until June). I haven't been since I was 21 (Epcot was just a baby then).

The exciting part is my 10-year-old DD thinks we are going to Sea World San Antonio!:hyper:

Any ideas on how I can let her know on the day we are leaving?

I just hope I can keep the secret!

Nope, nothing is more fun! I just finished booking my DS's flight, he's meeting us down there and I just made most of my ps's so I am sooooo ready for our next trip (April 4-23). This one took a lot of planning we are staying at Country Inn Calypso Cay on 4/4 then BWV 4/5-4/9 then Country in on 4/9 then Vistana until 4/17 then BCV til 4/23. DS (12yo) will be driving down with us and flying home on 4/18 with his 22 yo brother who is flying down on 4/7. Complicated trip but worth it. We needed to use our week at Vistana and use up DVC points so that's why we're moving so much.

As soon as I get home I'll start planning the next trip!

shatzjsl, your DD is going to be so surprised! What if you did a scavenger hunt type of thing where she got clues about where she is going. In the last envelope you could have a Mickey Mouse or Castle postcard to give it away. What fun!

A couple of weeks ago my DH mentioned one morning that we should consider a trip to WDW around Xmas so we could see it decorated. He did not mention an exact date or year! I said I would look into it. By the end of the day I had us booked into a 2bdrm Villa at SSR in early Dec of 2004.
To say he was amazed when he came home from work is an understatement. lol
So I guess the moral of the story is " Be careful what you say around an obssesive disney planner!!":teeth:

I just finished booking our July trip!! I can't wait! Let the planning begin!!!!:earsgirl: :bounce: :earsboy:

I think the planning is just about as much fun as the trip itself. Weird, huh?

Fantasia Girl - I looks like we'll be celebrating at WDW at the same time.

ead79 - You might want to extend your trip a few days in order to meet up with all the crazies that will be attending MouseFest 2004.

I totally agree with Katholyn, the planning is so exciting. Theres nothing like it, and the time goes by faster when you are busy working towards that date making plans

And Kasey, my SIL does the exact same thing you did, if DBL even remotely gives a hint to a possabilty, by mid afternoon the trip is planned.

Me on the other hand, I just secretly plan, then break the news to DH when the time is right!:teeth:

I like to plan our trips, but booking is another issue. I always get tense while I'm waiting (on hold) to find out if I can get the resort I want, at the rates I want, for the dates I want. I then get stressed over making the right choice that DW will agree with. Same thinking with booking PSs. I'm always concerned that it will be too early, too late, or the wrong day.

I think planning for the trip is as or if not as fun as going. I love planning for our trips, it gets everyone in the Disney mood!!!

Always fun, Elisabeth. I hope to be there at that time, nothing firm yet though. Would love to see you and Colin again.

Also, I will be in Atlanta at the end of Feb, beginning of March for a seminar, maybe a bar-b-q again?? :)
