i just went to the disney website and wanted to order my tickets. i thought i could just print them out
but they mail them to you. we are closing in on our fast pass date and the tickets won't be mailed till after april 17th. can anyone help????

When you order them on the WDW website, they should automatically link to your account so you'll still be able to make FPs. You won't need to have them in hand.

If you order them from a third party, you do need to have them in hand so you can link them to your MDE account manually.

Choose Will Call and you'll receive the Confirmation Numbers that you link to MDE. That will open up the 30 day booking window that will expand to 60 days when you are at your 60-day mark.

You can still have them mailed to you so you don't have to wait at Will Call, as lilclerk said, they will automatically link to your account. I did this a few days before my FP+ reservations opened up.

Are you staying at a Disney resort or offsite?

If you are staying onsite, you don't need the tickets at all. Once you have made the purchase on the website, your ticket number should be entered into your My Disney Experience account, so your Magic Bands will work for park admission. You will also be able to make your FP reservations at 60 days before your trip.

If you are staying offsite, you will need the RFID card tickets, unless you purchase magic bands. But you should be able to enter the ticket confirmation numbers into your MDX account at any time, even before you receive the actual tickets, and make your FP reservations 30 days before your trip.

Something that kind of got lost in all of the (very correct) info posted above…

You cannot use "printed" Disney Theme Park tickets at gates, and you don't need to print them
for making FP+ reservations.

The OP may be confusing them with Disneyland tickets which you can print at home but they scan the barcode on them and it prints a paper ticket at the turnstyle. There may be more steps to it now but I haven't done it for alittle while.
