Is there any way around the parking charge for just citywalk?

I thinky the parking charge just to go eat at bubba gumps is a bit steep - is there any way around the charge/validation? (for example tschop schop (sp?) has a deal w. the RPH where valet parking is $5.

There is free parking after 6 pm in the parking garage.
