Is There Any Good Steak in Disney?

I haven't been to The California Grill is eons, but the last time I was there I had a fantastic filet, and I'm very picky about my steaks.

Shulas for sure; just had to filet there in this month and it was on par with peter luger in ny; make sure to order the chocolate soffle when you order the food; it takes that long to prepare and was heaven; they also have a ribeye and a porterhouse plus a tomahawk but in my golden years i am forbidden by DW and DD to eat so much;

Oh my god, a chocolate soufflé ? I would go there just for that !

That ribeye comes with Yorkshire pudding 🤤🤤🤤

I was planning on having that prime rib and Yorkshire pudding at Steakhouse 71 for dinner ...I’m planning on lunch there, also...but now I’m tempted to have dinner at Shula’s instead. Though, their version is $16 more than 71’s is

Hmmm...

Chocolate soufflé .,.must have

It’s been over 10 years since our last visit to California Grill, but I remember my wife talking about her filet for the rest of the trip and telling anyone that would listen about how good it was for weeks when we got home.

We were not impressed with Shula's steaks at all. The lobster tail was amazing. Same with that chocolate souffle, but we had 4 people, all ordered a Filet Mignon, and none of us liked it. :(

We want to have a nice dinner on our arrival day. We are Filet Mignon and lobster tail people. We will not be going to a park.

For reference: we do not care for Ruth's Chris. We are big fans of Saltgrass and we really like Del Frisco.

We love Narcoossee's but they are closed.

STK has too many negative reviews on flavor and quality of meat.

We have had Yachtsman before. It took them 3 tries to cook a steak properly and although cooked medium, it was tough to eat.

We tried Shula's and although the lobster was wonderful, the steaks were bland and disappointing.

Le Cellier is not bad, but we are not going to a park.
Narcoossee's is my absolute favorite in Disney. We are skipping a table meal on our upcoming trip due to Narcoossee's being closed. :/

I did not care for Shula's either. I agree the lobster was amazing. The only other place on Disney property I enjoyed for a filet no longer exists, Wolfgang Puck's Upstairs dining.

Ooh, now I’m torn...Shula’s gets mixed reviews for an expensive steak place. I’d really be going for the soufflé as I haven’t had one in ages...I could get the prime rib and Yorkshire pudding at Steakhouse 71

I have only ever ordered a filet at WDW and both I've tried (California Grill and Topolino's) were incredibly bland, boring, and tough to me. Both were overcooked (one I had to send back, ordered medium rare and it came out well done, the other came out medium and we just accepted it since at least it was still edible and we hate to waste a cut of meat). Steak from the Golden Corral is more flavorful than my WDW filets. I usually order ribeye or porterhouse when outside WDW so perhaps I am just used to a fattier cut, but all that seems to be on the menus these days are filets, at least when not dining at a steakhouse.

Boathouse is by far my fav steak in Disney and I’m a filet guy, they have nailed it every time. cooked perfect and very tender.

Plus the seafood is amazing so I’m confident the lobster tail will be equally as amazing.

Shulas is always on our list of places to dine when we visit WDW. The steak as well as the souffle are delicious.

Living in the midwest, we have so many places with great steaks, that we rarely order steak at WDW. Generally do to seafood. However, the steaks at California Grill and Jiko (however, I generally go for the Elk, or wild boar, depending what they are offering) have been very good when we have ordered them

Good to know, thanks! The prime Rib gets mixed reviews, which makes me nervous, because although I always get sirloin when I go to a steakhouse, I really, really want the prime rib/Yorkshire pudding....
