I have put in a reservation request with Dreams for my 3/04 cruise. They will get back to me with my quote by the 19th so I should be able to qualify for both deals they are offering right now (rebate and credit :) ). My question is, do they charge a fee if you have to cancel that Disney does not? In other words, If I reserved directly with DCL and had to cancel a few months from now, I would get my entire deposit back. Would I get my entire deposit back through Dreams? Thank-you for your time (and hand holding ect., lol)

I can find no drawbacks to booking with DU :)

They have taken care of both of my Disney cruises and so far everything has been great. I am quite sure there is no penalty if you have to cancel with them.

They have been very helpful to me and I recommend them highly.

I got a quote from DCL and from Dreams. DCL was $485.40 cheaper. I'm going to keep trying. Does anyone know any tricks for getting it lower?:Pinkbounc

Hi strawberry blonde! :D Dreams, unlike many other travel agencies, does NOT charge a cancellation fee at all. Any fees for cancellation are those that would be charged by Disney, and as long as you cancel at least 60 days prior to your cruise date you'll be fine. All payments are made directly to Disney, via Dreams.

Tchrmom, Dreams gets their pricing directly from DCL and then gives a rebate back to the client on top of that, so I'm puzzled as to how you are getting a different price from DCL directly -- Dreams prices should ALWAYS be lower than DCL's direct price. You'll need to be sure that you're comparing exactly the same stateroom category and that both reservations either do or do not have air, insurance or transfers added. If you ever question a quote that you have received from Dreams feel free to e-mail webmaster@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com for assistance and verification of the pricing. :D

The only problem I had with DU was in getting my rebate, because I paid by check instead of credit card--there was a little confusion as to whether it had been applied, etc. Once it was clear that I had not received my rebate, they mailed it to me immediately. I have since booked another cruise for myself, and for 4 cabins of family members. They give great service.

I just recieved the quote from Dreams and it is the same as DCL except I will get $100 rebate and $100 credit :smooth: ! Looks like a win, win situation to me. I plan on booking as soon as I get the go ahead from DH. Thanks again for the info.

besides the rebate, and stateroom credits

Dreams keeps up with DCL promotions and rate changes.

On several occasions we have gotten e-mails from Dreams saying that the rate dropped and that they saved us $$$$ on our reservation and the new balance due is ...

If you book with DCL direct, they don't do that.

Can someone tell me how the rebate and discounts work with Dreams? I just self booked a cruise for march 2004 but if I can save some I would love to!

Lookingforward, here is a link with information on the rebate:

Dreams Rebate

And here is information about the discount checking in the FAQs section of the site:

Dreams FAQs

Hope that helps! :D

I booked a couple of months ago with DU and got the $200 rebate. I guess they do not give the shipboard credit unless you book during the time listed...i.e. the don't retro offers right?

I did not find a price lower than DU when I booked.

I have also just booked our 5th cruise with DU. I pride myself on finding all the best prices and deals 1st by looking at several sites, including Disney direct, AAA and other internet sites. DU still saved me more with their rebate & credit. I had also asked for another credit on another cruise for friends & Donna checked personally for me if it could be applied to them. Although it wasn't available because of other discounts they received, I am confident that they always give me the best price available. If you see a better price, just contact them and ask- they are always happy to try & get it for you. We have also received a nice stateroom box several times for using them when they had 8 rooms booked on a cruise. Another added benefit! I recommend them highly as they are easy to deal with (e-mail) and quick to respond.
