Dh and I sent off our closing docs on Friday with payment!!! Yahoo!!! From what I've read here I'm looking at 2 weeks of waiting to get into the system before I can book. That's okay. We have a few points that were banked from 2010 and a Feb UY.

My DH's birthday is the first week of December. I would love to surprise him with an overnight at Disney. Since we will only have one (two at the most) nights...is there any chance??? It would be a Thursday night if that makes a difference in your response.

If December is out, any thoughts on a Thursday night in January being available?

For our big trip in 2012 we were thinking of going in May but we will be just beyond 7 months. We are hoping to segment (just because we want to try the different resorts, we don't do dp) so we won't need 5-7 consecutive nights in the same place. Again, any chance we could piece meal a stay? If not, instead of 2 trips in 2012 we will just do 1 and stay a week at our "home" in the fall.

If you bought a resale, my guess is no chance at all for Dec and even Jan might be hard. You'll just have to see what you can get once you are in the system.

If you bought direct, contact your guide (if this is your first purchase and your first reservation) and see if they can help you get what you need. Sometimes they can get access to inventory as part of the means to make the sale.

I don't think you'll have any problem with May. Dec will probably be very tough but cancellations do happen. If you're flexible in Jan I'd think you'll have a decent chance. Good luck!

If you are willing to stay at any resort and go any available day - then you should get something for January. I was able to rebook 2 days last January when our plans changed at that was in late November.

December is unlikely but you never know- again if you are very flexible with both the place and size of the unit as well as when you might be able to get something.

May you should be able to get something- it depends on where you want to stay but you should be able to get something somewhere.

not sure about the first week, but middle of the month was available at several resorts for a couple days just this past week for one bedrooms, including all resorts except BWV.
