is there any chance of the new Frozen attraction being open the last week of April?

I read online that it is set to open May 1. Do attractions have a soft opening or do they only open on their set date? we will be there the last week of April, fingers crossed.

However, the reports I have seen that talked about a possible May 1 opening are all about a year old. Most of the more current reports now anticipate a "Summer" opening.

"The Passholder Mickey Monitor that has just been mailed out to Annual Passholders offers one of the only official timelines for the opening of the two new Frozen themed attractions coming to Epcot later this year.

Both the Frozen Ever After ride and Royal Sommerhus are listed in the Mickey Monitor as opening in Summer 2016. This is slightly later than the previously expected Spring 2016 opening, and ties in with recent reports of minor delays to the completion of the projects.

Of course, an opening window can be quite wide, and Disney may be playing it safe, or could simply be listing an official opening timeframe, with soft opens happening sooner, closer to the original late Spring 2016 date."

Disney has not yet announced an opening date for this yet. There is speculation that it will be the last weekend in May though due FP availability for Anna & Elsa in the MK being restricted at that time.

I'll say that I wouldn't expect it to be open at the end of the month, but also say that anything can happen.

What was the date on that post? At one time May seemed possible but that's long since been abandoned.
Also, WDWInfo is just a blog and does not contain any formal announcement from Disney. They just are guessing

Allears shows a May 1st opening as well. Not sure when that was originally posted though. However, they updated their refurb list pretty recently to show the new BTMRR closure dates. (Not sure if that means anything though.)

Everything I've seen lately points to a May 27-28 opening.
