Is there another restaurant w/ a good steak for 1TS credit?

We had great steak at Grand Floridian Cafe. Our meal was so good I was practically licking the plate clean.:rotfl2:

I would recommend Coral Reef, WCC, Wave, and Captains Grill for a good steak. IMHO, they all offered better steaks than Le'Cellier when that place was still a 1ts. :thumbsup2

Kona's teriyaki strip steak is great (along with the mashed potatoes!)

I find the quality of steak at the 1 TS restaurants varies considerably. Many in this thread recommend the steak at Coral Reef. When we ate there it was not good at all.

Frankly, one of the best steaks we ever had on Disney property was a New York strip at Tony's. It was amazing -- tender, juicy and tasty -- really high quality meat. We have never duplicated that experience at Tony's since, despite several subsequent attempts.

No doubt Disney is buying thousands of tons of beef a week. I have finally decided that the quality varies tremendously depending on variables such as supplier, the deal Disney is able to strike with a beef producer, whether a new supplier is trying to impress Disney, etc.

The Tony's steak was 4-5 years ago. Since then, we have give up ordering steaks at 1 TS restaurants.

I've eaten at Coral Reef for the past 4 years and have gotten the steak each time & it has been fantastic all 4 times. We've also eaten at Le Cellier twice and I also got steak there both times and it was good, but not as good as Coral Reef.

We've gotten good steaks at Coral Reef, Tony's, Mama Melrose, Grand Floridian Cafe, Turf Club, and Rose & Crown (twice, but then have gotten really tough steaks there three other times).

If you have lunch at Le Cellier you can still get steak for 1TS. We have been doing lunch there for a few years. Only Dinner is 2TS credits.

:goodvibes

The steak at Kona Café is really really good, and the broccolini that it comes with is fantastic! I get the steak every time I go there.

The filet at Chefs de France is my favorite so far.

The terriyaki steak at Kona was good too. But its been awhile since I have had that.
