Is there an "MDE for Dummies" thread?

We only go to Orlando every few years, and the last few trips were USO trips. This is our first trip with MDE, MB, FP+.

I have set up an MDE account for myself with DH and the boys on it, and I have our MBs and tickets. I now have questions about setting things up, letting other members of the family see the plans, linking MBs, etc. We are offsite, so I know we won't get to use all the features.

I don't want to pester, and am not sure my questions will be answered if I read the huge tickets thread. So I'm looking for something specifically on setting up plans through MDE and sharing them out.

Thanks for pointing me the right way!

I don't know of any MDE specific thread, but feel free to ask away. I'm sure we can guide you through it :) Perhaps when we are done answering your questions, we will have the makings of an MDE how to.

Cool, I'll ask away!
1. Right now, I'm the only one with an MDE. If dh and the boys set up their own MDE accounts, how do I link them?
2. If we have multiple MDE accounts, can everyone make / change fast passes? We are offsite so can only book FP+ one day at a time. It would help if I was not the only one who had to be up at the crack of dawn to try to get FP+ ressies.
3. If we have multiple MDE accounts, does each person have to enter their own ticket / MB on their own MDE?
4. Does it even make sense to have more than one MDE?

And I think I already know the answer to 5. but here goes - 5. If we are offsite, can we link MB to a cc or gift card to pay for things?

Thanks!

It’s generally easier to have everyone listed on one account, and have one person manage all FPs. Offsite guests can purchase MBs, but they cannot be used to pay for anything since charges are tied to an onsite room.

It’s easier to use 1 MDX account and give the login info to each person.

How old are the boys?

Thanks for the responses!

If we just stick to the one account, can multiple people be logged on at once? I know a friend of mine said when they book FP+, she is on the computer and her DH is on the app, trying to get the ones they want when they want them. I worry about one getting kicked off if the other is active on a different device.

Boys will be 17 and 19, and have only been to Disney once, when they were 8 and 10. The 17 yo LIVES on his phone.
