is there an ER thread?

I can't find one because it doesn't let me search ER because it is too small.

I don't think there's a official one, but I've noticed come thursday night or friday someone will post about that weeks episode. It runs it course pretty quickly, then it disappears till the next weeks new thread pops up.

I thought it was a bit out of place...... Anyone else think the crash would have probably reduced both planes to unrecognizable heaps of metal instead of the perfectly shaped pieces?

I think the reason that there isn't an ER thread is a lot of people haven't been watching. I know because I'm one of them. It just isn't as good as it used to be. I have a hard time connecting with these characters. I miss Anthony Edwards, George Clooney, etc. Just not the same for me anymore. I love Abby, but Luka does nothing for me (not the actor, he's great, I just really dislike the character).

I did watch last week's. It was OK, I did like the ending with Neala & Gallant. And I'll probably watch next week's--I want to see them married.

No. As impressive as the fireball is, generally unless a jet airplane goes full-speed into the side of a mountain, some recognizeable pieces of fuselage will remain.

I was wondering about the Abby and Luca thing ... I had read a spoiler that said something about Luca getting back together with Sam by this episode. I guess that spoilers was "close but off-target". They're trying to present it as "we're always there for each other" -- they really do need to be each other's friends, but Luca is not the type of guy for Abby. She's be more believeable with Duchenko, quite frankly, as Luca was more believeable with Sam. I wonder, to what extent this change in bedmate for Luca is due to audience reaction; I suspect that many 30-something women identify more easily with Abby than with Sam, so the producers feel that it would be better for ratings to have the hunk get lovey-dovey with the character that more of their target audience can more readily identify with.

My wife actually doesn't consider Luca to be a hunk -- she feels he's nothing more than puppy-dog pathetic. (I was trying to find out who she considers hunky on ER and she said that no one is, at least not as hunky as Naveen Andrews from Lost, or guys like that.) She says that the Luca-and-Abby thing makes sense because Abby can simply "read" Luca, thereby addressing Luca's biggest problem, his inability to communicate. However, in the end, all on-screen romantic relationships on ER are deliberately temporary. If they weren't, the storyline would get boring real quickly.

I kept expecting Neela to die, all through the show, even up to the end where she's running out into a busy street without looking....

Like Missy said, there have been several threads that get started each week. They usually get to page two and die because not many people are watching and enjoy it. If you wanted to search for past threads try doing search for one of the more unusual names like Neela or Luka. That might bring something up.

I missed it Thursday night. I do like Abby and Luca together. His character was better when he first started the show. I didnt care for all the things they have done with his character.
I never liked Abby with Carter.

I agree. It's not the same as it used to be- that's why I watch re-runs on TNT whenever I can . I know a lot of people thought they were great together but personally I prefer Abby and Carter together. They were my favorite characters and their relationship seemed so real. But I'm all for Luka going back with her if it means him not being with Sam.

Gallant had left the show. It isn't clear to me that he's "back" more than just for an episode here-and-there.

Actually, not spoilers but the official listings for the show have Abby and Luka moving forward to some extent (who knows how far, this IS ER) together. On one of the ep's listing, they are supposed to discuss having Christmas together.

I think the reason people do not identify with Sam is that she is a *****. Yes, Luka does not communicate well. But look how much she takes him for granted and the way she speaks to him. That is why people don't id with her--we don't like her. (Like the actress though).

They need to make a decision about all these extra characters. Do they need Weaver anymore? Then show her. Or write her off. Pratt needs some more storyline. Get rid of the rocker doc.

This could be a good show again. They just need to let us tell them what to do.

Oh, and Luka is HOT . He was smokin' when he threw Abby her panties. And her bra.
