Is there an age limit to AP discounts for immediate family?

My DD and I picked up our AP renewals today and it got me thinking. She’s currently in college so I still consider her to be in our household. After graduation, she will likely work for two years then go back to grad school. If she is living in our household while working or going to grad school would she still receive the AP discount (assuming it is still offered)? A lot could change between now and then with her plans and with DVC benefits but I was just curious how this is currently treated. TIA!

Everything I have read is that it is based upon ID and having the same address. We have a 24 year old son who has a a late birthday and is a college senior in a 5 year program living at home. I’d buy him a DVC AP if it made sense. If your daughter is under your roof, I think she is eligible.

When my mother lived with us the last couple of years of her life she qualified for the DVC discounted AP. And she was 80.
They just have to be immediate family and live with you.

The rule that applies is that a member can purchase up to 8 discounted APs for the member and the member's "immediate" family that is living in the same residence as the member. Besides a spouse, domestic partner, or minor children, "immediate" family includes any children/step children who are adults, parents/step parents, mother/father-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, brother/sister-in-law. Key is to be able to provide on behalf of anyone who is 18 or older, when you get to WDW to activate the AP, a driver's license or other official photo ID that shows the same residence as the member.

Is that per member, or per ownership? My DSis and I are co-owners of our contracts, so are we only limited to 8 from both of us, or would that number double?

Do not know the answer; never asked because never bought more than five at a time.

I have a question somewhat along this line. My in laws are the DVC members and we have the same home address. They have both been experiencing major health issues and backed out of our trip in July. Do they need to be present with us to activate our AP vouchers?

Technically, yes. Have them call MS and explain the situation. MS can arrange it so you can activate the passes in their absence. They will give instructions on what to bring and will probably provide a case number with instructions for the CM.
