My father was just diagnosed and is undergoing treatment as we speak. We leave in less than 30 days so he is somewhat concerned as well. Thankfully, this is our second cruise on DCL so he has see what is available to him on the ship as well as CC.

For your father, I would definitely check out sun protection clothing and hats. My Father In Law has had skin cancer and uses them.

Land's End also has sun protection swim gear. My DH loves the long sleeved, zip up pull over swim shirt to wear in the water.
