I've never lived in a place that was a destination for anything other than business (DFW).

I know of stereotypes (e.g. Japanese people carrying cameras, Brazilian tourist groups roaming WDW, Americans demanding ice in their cokes in Europe). But I never realized that some locals really do despise tourists/travelers so much that there needs to be so much discussion and such a snobbish distinction. That makes me kind of sad for some reason.

Poor Brazilians! They are the ones who get blamed for everything in Orlando, and not just in the theme parks. I once went to an interview for a retail job in the premium outlet mall, and the interviewer gave as her example of a problem a group of Brazilians who came in and tore the store up and asked me what would I do. Are the new "ugly Americans" now South American instead of North American?
