I really want to take an ABD trip. It is really expensive. Is there a way to pay over time for these types of trips (short of putting it on a credit card)? How far in advance can one sign up for these trips? Finally does anyone know when the 2014 trips will be announced? I will need plenty of time to save! Thanks for any info.

You only pay a deposit of $300 pp when you book the trip. That could change, I suppose, but it's been $300 since I booked my first ABD in 2008. The final payment is due 90 days before your departure date, so you can pay incrementally up to that time. Doesn't sound like you want to use a credit card, but if you pay with a Disney Visa the charges for your trip are 6 months no interest.

The 2013 trips were announced in May of 2012. In previous years the trips were announced in late July or early August. You can book as soon as they release the dates.

We are taking the Cowboy and Canyons trip this July, but we actually booked the trip last August (2012) thru AAA. We have been making payments right along. We do make the payments on our Disney Visa because we want the Disney points. We were able to apply some Disney points towards this trip.
