Is there a store or restaurant that you've been to while traveling...

ok can I rephrase that to say within an hours drive to Ikea?

The nearest one to me is Seattle. 8 hours away. :(

I like an hour from the Philly one now, it used to be ten minutes....

It is a brand new store.. but an hour is nice., not too far/not too close.

I did see that they were planning new stores, but I don't know where.

Uncle Bill's Pancake House at the Jersey Shore... sometimes we will take the 2 hour drive just for the pancakes!!!

Wildwood Right?
Is that the one in the red building? That place brings back some great memories. (old boyfriend;) ) We used to rent a house down there for the summer...GREAT PANCAKES.

Sonic for food. As for shopping - Character Premier, Disney at Home, World of Disney!

Cracker Barrel and Bahama Breeze. We alway manage to find a Cracker Barrel while traveling and we eat at Bahama Breeze every time we go to WDW.

Beaujo's (a pizza place found in Colorado)....they have the best pizza I've ever had. They do have a place online where you can order pizza delivered to your home, but I doubt it would be the same.

I think there are 2 in Wildwood. The one we go to is in a yellow building on a corner lot.... I wanna say near Burke??

Having left the Chicago area for the Tampa area, I miss good Chicago pizza. Even the Tombstone pizzas taste different here. Giordano's was my favorite stuffed pizza, and we liked Bill's Pub for thin crust (Lake County, IL).

Lobster Hut in Welfleet Ma....... Jack N the Box (always my first stop in Vegas! LOL)

Us too!! Leaving tomorrow for Hilton Head -- definately will be on a stop or two of ours on the way there and back!!

OMG!!! Uncle Bills the one name I didnt expect to see...I loved that restauraunt when I lived in Cape May...

I wish we had Geno's Cheesesteaks in philly...Cant get a decent cheesesteak here...although the Grand Floridian 24hr place makes a decent one

from Canada there are soooo many American resturants that I love that I can't get up here. Lets see: IHOP, Olive Garden, Cracker Barrel, TGI Fridays.
then there are the retail stores Bath and Body Works, Osh Kosh Stores, Character Premier. The list could go on and on ...

The kids would love a Sonic, but I don't see them building one here in the upper midwest. For me, Cheesecake Factory.

Sonic fans and Crackerbarrel lovers come on by:D We've gotcha covered. I would love a Trader Vic's, a Cheesecake Factory, a Pizzeria Uno's, and a Jack in the Box.

Once you've had New York pizza, my friends, it's hard to really appreciate pizza anywhere else. I've had some pretty fair imitations, but once you're more than 20-30 miles out of NYC, there's just something different about it. I'm told it's the water and there just might be something to that. Even the chain store pizzas taste different away from here.

I guess it's pretty much what you're brought up on. I'm kind of anxious to leave NY behind when I retire, but I will definitely miss the pizza... and the bagels, too (still the water, I'm told).

Cracker Barrel.

When we lived in MI and would drive to IA to visit my parents we always stopped at Cracker barrel with DD. They always had clena bathrooms and really decent changing stations. PLus I could walk around with DD in the shop and she loved looking at everything.
Plus the food is great! :)

Restaurants: F. McLintock's Steak House & Saloon (Pismo Beach, CA), Saturn Cafe (Santa Cruz, CA) and Marianne's Ice Cream (Santa Cruz, CA)

Stores: The Container Store. There's one about 1/2 hour from my house, but I need one right next door!!! On second thought... maybe I don't... I'd spend too much $$$$$!! :D

Sonic's
Shoney's (liked the breakfast buffet)
Olive Garden (ones here are too far away)
Weathervane (seafood in Kittery, ME -one in Worcester, MA closed :( )

LeCellier's from Epcot
Krispy Kreme (even though we've NEVER had one)
Panera Bread (too far away)

ok.....the real problem is we live out in the country....and everythings too far away! But our town is moving up....we got a McDonald's & Dunkin Donuts.....and all the pizza you can eat!!

In some small little town in NC they had a RYANS (all you can eat) and it was very good. Wish we had one down here in S.FL.

SONIC!!!! I loved that place while I was staying in Orlando. Other ones would be Cracker Barrel and Super Wal-Mart...
