I know at times I have seen threads about short cuts to the parks from off site hotels. My question is does anyone know of one from the Embassy Inn and Suites South? We are thinking of walking in the morning and catching the shuttle at night.

I assume you mean the Embassy Suites Anaheim South and just added the "Inn" on accident.

Do not walk from there. That wouldn't be smart it is about a 2 miles walk to the gates. Save you legs for the 10 miles of walking you will do in the parks.

Use the shuttles every time you go to or from. That is the trade off you made for staying at a nice hotel.

Yeah that's the one! :confused3: I thought it had an Inn in it! Opps! My husband thought it was one mile. Do you really think it's two? Is it hard to navigate the shuttles in the morning? I'm concerned with getting my double jogger and all of the stuff we bring on to the shuttle. Diapers, wipes, water bottles, snacks ect.We have a family of 7. The stroller is usually full when we go to the park and empty by the time we leave.

They claim to be a mile away from the parks. Like most hotels it's a twisted way of saying it what could be considered a lie. It may be one mile from the corner of DLR. So it's probably 1.5 to the gates.

I have done stroller for years, except a few times with friends. My rule was only take what I could carry so I didn't have to empty the stroller to fold it up to get on the bus or plane or what ever. That way I knew I could empty it in a couple minutes while waiting.

I would suggest the shuttle both ways. It is a 1.45 miles each way. There are no shortcuts for this direction, simply straight north on Harbor til you hit Disneyland.

ART is $4 for adults per day, you can get discounts for 3 and 5 day tickets. They also sell 5 for the price of 3 day tickets ($10) and 7 for the price of 5 day ($16) tickets on Getawaytoday.com. (And you get a free child's ticket for every adult ticket.)

I wouldn't walk it with the kids. DH did walk home a couple of nights because both kids were sleeping in the stroller, but I rode ART with the big girls. It took him nearly 25+ minutes to walk by himself (and actually that was to Hampton Inn which is just before Embassy).

We've stayed at the Embassy the past two spring breaks. We have four young children and wouldn't walk it. We always had good luck with the ART system, even with carrying on our big stroller. We just tried to get out to the ART stop a few minutes before the first shuttle arrived each morning. We would use it to come back in the afternoons and go back at night too without a problem.

My husband and I stayed there several years ago for a week. Saturday was our blocked out day for APs so we decided to just walk over to DTD and look around. It took us 30 minutes. There is no way we could have walked it after a long day at the parks. We did not want to depend on ART so we always drove there on park days and went around the block to the right and then right again and straight down to the Pinocchio lot area. As much as I hate buses, if we didn't have a car, we would have taken ART.

Do they sell them with out the purchase of a vacation packages or tickets?
