A pin is a wonderful but elusive thing. Much like Indianna Jones in his quest for the Holy Grail, there are dis'ers who relentless pursue the ever elusive pin code. The screech of joy heard when the mythical monster pin or the wonderful white rabbit pin arrives in an email has been known to waken slumbering family, neighbors and pets. Mailmen quake when delivering the disney postcard/flyer to helplessly hoping pinless people.
News that others are receiving 40% off pins or free dinning pins triggers both jealousy and fantasy in the pinless.
There are those pursuing pins who succumb to the subtle addiction of pinaholism. They create multiple email accounts, they surreptitiously yet compulsively log on to the disney site creating and deleting itineraries, ordering vacation planning videos and free maps, anxiously calling and asking CMs 'Oh, BTW, do I have a pin attached to my name?'
As to why the disney pin god gives pins to some and not others, no one knows.
