Is there a rule about being drunk in the park?

We were at Epcot for F&W on a Saturday last year. Were had stopped on the side to eat something and next to us there was a group of like 10 mid twenties aged people. There was one girl in the group that was obviously drunk and she was sitting on a railing... Well she fell back and into a bunch of rose bushes... When she got up there were thorns everywhere! Poor girl... We couldn't stop laughing! Don't sit on the railings hahaha

First, congrats to the OP for finding a GF who can't hold her booze AND loves wine, nothing better than dating/marrying a cheap drunk. Second, if WDW tossed all guests who talked and laughed too loud, the place would be empty.

What is your slogan, Bill, about a frontal lobotomy?

.....Hi Dan!!! We've probably seen the same misbehaving guests on many occasions!!! Hope to see you in Dec!!!
Hope to see you also, Diane, just not at the big BD party, LOL. :rotfl2::lmao:

The last time I was there for F & W, we arrived on a Saturday afternoon and went to Epcot that night. There were alot of people very drunk and obnoxious. We went on the Mexico ride, we were in the front row and the people in the boat ahead of us were really loud, carrying on. Then when the boat docked, we saw the cm put an orange cone on it and let it go out empty. I assume someone threw up (or whatever).

They do the thing with the cone when they're getting close to closing time. Once they've emptied all the boats and they see the cone come around again, they know they've gotten everybody out.

The cone told the back stage person that this is the boat the fool drunk threw up in and to take it out of the loop.

Well let me reassure you that we never have a car at Disney. I may booze it up all week, but I never get past tipsy and rely on Disney transportation or cabs.

One year, after Cali Grill, the darn bus driver was all over the road like he was drunk. Really ruined my buzz. :(

:rotfl2::thumbsup2

I've gotten tipsy at Disney - so has DH. It's not a big deal. I've actually seen someone throw up inside the Rose & Crown - not cool - but as far as being tipsy, it's a non-issue.

Yes, that one.

I still have to share a pint with you some time at R&C. :cool1:

We're there Oct 11 - 17, I can't do early Dec due to my school's end of semester stuff. Hopefully we'll get to the R&C, but let's not share one, how about one (or more) for each of us?:rotfl2:

I surprised that out of hundreds of people not one of them thought to find a CM who could help the poor man.

We were kind of right in the middle so it would have been difficult for a CM to navigate there. Plus, the guy was angry/sad/pathetic/hysterical all in one so I think, myself included, that approaching him may have made the sitch worse. We just left it to his friend to be all 'there, there' and hoped the ferry would turn up soon!

I went to a wedding a few months back and part of what the bride and groom set up was a Drink Around the World. We had t-shirts made up and everything, stopping at each country for a drink (or two). I didn't think we were too loud, but we were being our obnoxious selves by America. In truth, we were probably a lot of fun to watch. People were stopping to ask about our t-shirts and all. We weren't rowdy as much as just fun loving people by the time we were done and I think we were more of a "look at how much fun they're having" than a "let's get away from them".

Anyway, as long as you're not screaming, starting fights, stumbling badly, or cursing, why not have fun?

Please don't overestimate how "cute" your drunken behavior is to others.

THIS x 100. People need to remember that when you have beer goggles on, they're there when you look in the mirror, too.

As someone upthread said, there are a lot of little kids around! (Plus, I would not want to run into an angry dad strong enough to toss me in the bushes). ;)

Man, I remember the first time I saw my father seriously drunk. He probably thought he was being funny and charming, but it scared the pants off me. To the point where I still get a little nervous even remembering it. I have a drink myself every now and then, but the thought of drinking to the point of losing control when I know I'm going to be around little children is just one of those places I won't go.

I don't find anything cute, charming, endearing or funny about drunk or tipsy people.

It wasn't close to closing time.

Oh man, I remember this one time at Disney I puked ALL OVER a bus stop after chowing down on an omelet at The Land. Went everywhere!

Oh yeah, I was 7 and had gotten food poisoning!

Folks are gonna puke, be it intoxication or illness. Don't be judgemental :P

I've gotten pretty deep into my cups once or twice at WDW, usually at the F&W festival. Definitely helps to have some more responsible folks around to help, provided you are the type of drunk WHO LISTENS. I do, fortunately. The wife, not so much, so she gets cut off earlier. Of course the real incentive (for me, anyway) to not getting plastered is the agony of the following day, hangovers plus rides just don't mix :)

Friday and Saturday nights of the F & W Festival there are some wasted people! Lots of people on dates too :crazy2:

I don't find anything cute, charming, endearing or funny about a lot of people.

I think the difference is that the percentage of people who think they're cute, charming endearing, and funny *when they're drunk* is way higher than the percentage of people who think they're cute, charming endearing, and funny *in general.*

Oh, I don't know...there are a lot of people here who think they're cute, charming, endearing, and funny when they're really not. I betting most of them aren't drunk. But maybe they should be.

In any case, my point is that you can find someone's behavior unpleasant, but you can't necessarily expect them to change it. You can only control your own reaction to it.
