Is there a ride you refuse to go on?

The only ride I won't do at DL when we go is Mulholland Madness. Crazy mouse-type rides give me major headaches as soon as I step off. :headache:

I'm usually okay with Teacups with out getting a migraine, but DH and I refer to them as "The Teacups of Doom". :rotfl2:

I refuse to ride King Arthur Carousel. I'd much rather spend my time riding things I can't ride at a local amusement park.

Hi,
Last trip my DD and friend ages 13 rode the SunWheel Swinging Gondolas for the first time. You should have heard the ranting and raving about being the worst and scariest ride they had ever been on. What was really funny though, is that everytime we walked by it after this happened, they would go on and on again about it. It must have really made a bad impression on them. I'm so glad I decided not to go on it too!!!

Another ride I refuse is Maliboomer. Who would go on a ride with barf sheilds on them.:scared1: At least I think that's what they are. Anyways, I LOVE TOT, but the Mailboomer is too out there.:sad2:

One more that I discovered from last trip was the Mulholland Madness. It had never bothered me before, but last time I couldn't wait to get off of it. Blah!! Stomach was pretty upset!!

Yeah, if you're afraid of heights- stay away from the Sun Wheel- I got panicked just watching DH go up with DDs! I've been on it once and had to keep my eyes closed and miss the view because it is SO high up!

FOr me- Star Tours (simulated rides and my stomach do NOT agree!), Space Mountain- too dark and the lighting effects make me dizzy and nauseous, Tea Cups

DCA: Maliboomer, Screamin, ToT, Sun Wheel, Jellyfish, Swings

I'd love to do them, but the payoff isn't worth it- no innocent child needs to see a grown lady hurling on or just off a ride at the Happiest Place on Earth. I'll spare the children the horror!

Mullholland Madness and Star Tours. Can't stand either of them. I can go on every other motion ride ever made but Star Tours makes me feel sick every time. And as far as MHM, that is the spawn of the devil!

I wont go back on space moutain. Oh lordy that one scared me.

I always refuse to go on Splash mountain, even though it looks so much like the log ride they have at Santa Cruz. I have issues with heights.

How bad is the fall though? Is it basically the same as the log ride?

I used to make fun of my mother because she wouldn't go on the Tea Cups. I thought she was such a wimp. Now I get it. What is it about going round and round once we get older? DH and DD spun so fast her purse flew out. They thought it was great. I sat in my own cup staring at the floor. I hate to miss out on anything, even if it leaves me feeling

Anyone ever try motion sickness wrist bands or something? I really do hate missing anything, but I hate walking around feeling sick for the next hour too. Wonder if that would help.

I've done the one at Santa Cruz a few times. Never done Splash, so I can't say for sure. But it looks a lot more steep then the one at Santa Cruz.

The final drop on Splash is 52 1/2 feet, with a maximum of 45 miles per hour.

Can't do the teacups. The round and round rides get me  I also can't do SM in DL and MM or CS in DCA because of a neck injury when I was young. I have tried all of these and have learned my lesson. The rest of my family loves them and I just stay off when they go on them.

I'll ditto the teacups-gaaaah puke city for me. THat's one for daddy to do with the girls :)

I would never, ever go on that Alien Encounter ride at DW again-scared the living crap out of me.

Love everything else :)

Muholland Madness... it just is plainly bad for the back. It just jolts too much. When it first opened, there weren't as many pads on the vehicles. Thus, I had the pleasure to experience hitting the bars of the vehicle with every turn.

Okay, I don't do drops, at all. Get ready to laugh. Yes, I'm a chicken and proud of it. :upsidedow
Here's my list:

Dl
Space Mountain
Splash Mountain
Big thunder Mountain (tried it once, nearly died)
Matterhorn
Indiana Jones
Pirates of the Carribean (have been on it about 10 times, but nearly have a panic attack, and cry for the first 4 or 5 minutes of the ride  )
Gadgets go coaster

DCA
Maliboomer
California Screamin'
Tower of Terror
Jumpin Jellyfish
Mullholland Madness
Sun Wheel

One day I hope to get over my fear. But I do love motion simulators and going in circles. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

DH would agree with you about MHM. He hates that ride, but rode it with me. I thougt it was great!

As for myself, there isnt' anything that I wouldn't go on. I said before that I would never go on the sun wheel swinging gondolas again, but I think I have amended that to: I'll never go by myself again. DH won't get on the there at all, stationary or swinging. We are going with our friend this time and he has agreed to go on it with me. Now I can't wait!:woohoo:

I personally will never in my life go on the Maliboomer. I am so scared of heights! And the Tower of Terror I'm pretty scared of too. But hopefully this year, I'll face my fears.

Autopia

If I spend 10 hours drivng to DL why would I want to go on a ride where you drive a car??

I know you all are going to laugh...but when I was younger (6th grade), my grandparents took me to Disneyland (instead of getting a pony--great trade off, I thought)...and I had to ride the dark rides alone. I got really scared on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride because I don't like it when things pop up and when I don't know what's going to happen. Again, stems from a carnival ride at the Spook House when I was even smaller, like maybe 7 or 8 when I, again, had to ride alone (only child syndrome, I guess).

Now, many years later, I enjoy Mr. Toad (it's a classic, you know) but it did take me a long time to get to that point (like, oh, 35-40 years...:rolleyes1 ) SO...for all those people who insist that their children ride things that they don't really want to ride...well, let me just tell you from experience...you aren't doing them any favors! If they don't want to go, listen to THEIR instincts, not yours.

Other than that, the only thing I don't go on now is those blasted Tea Cups....:faint: ..that's a big ooooooppppppssssss...

And thank goodness, I'm leaving in 5 days and can't wait!!!!:cheer2:

I will never go on the Maliboomer or the Sunwheel.

I will never do ToT again. I was so panicked when we exited that the kid was actually concerned (although laughing) and my hands were bruised from my finger nails.

Afraid of heights and falling, not a good combo for ToT, but bring one the roller coasters.

Another ride I refuse is Maliboomer. Who would go on a ride with barf sheilds on them.:scared1: At least I think that's what they are.
They aren't barf shields, they are scream shields, to comply with City of Anaheim noise abatement rules.

There's nothing I *won't* ride, though there's several that don't really do much for me - more of a payoff isn't worth the wait thing, though. I like ToT and Maliboomer and the Swinging Cars on the Sun Wheel. :-)
